The wife picked me up a pin themed skateboard deck to hang in the game room. Stock image posted due to not taking a pic of it at home as I’m in the car driving up to my in laws for the day.

She also got me a full set of titan rubbers for my MET Premium. Not the new machine I was hoping for, but not bad at all!

Chuck, how can I view your videos? Are past videos archived to watch too? Thanks.

    #20 2 years ago

Thanks to Pinsider Scheiny for the AMH! Great guy/seller. Met a couple other nice pinheads there too (Chris & Steve).

My brother bought an escalera for his collection and I couldn't be happier. I helped him move 7 of his pins upstairs the old fashioned way (brute strength)
He ended up opening up an arcade and I was dreading the day we had to move them out...but the escalera worked just as it should!!

Pinball wise, I did very good this year. I decided I would just let my wife and dad know what I really wanted and skip getting things I won't use like in years past. The best pinball present came from my Pinside Secret Santa though by far. Here is a copy from my post about it in the SS thread.

"Finally opened my SS gift this morning and wow do good things come to those who wait! My SS saw I had a framed WOZ translite on the wall in the gameroom, so he decided to give me a super special Pirates Prize Pack. Eric sent me a JJP Pirates t-shirt, signed Pirates mini playfield and a Pirates translite signed by everyone on the design team. Not only is it a Pirates translite, but in the nice letter he included he said it was literally the very first ever Pirates translite...it was his engineering sample. I think it's time for the signed Avengers translite to come down off the wall and for Pirates to take it's place next to the WOZ. I feel honored to have such a cool piece of pinball history like that. I'm totally blown away."

Pinball Presents this year from wife, brother and dad...

Stern lollipop side rails for Ghostbusters
    Stay Puft Speaker Acrylic Ghostbusters
    Speaker Light Kit for Ghostbusters
    Cliffy Protector set for Ghostbusters
    Pinball Life Gift Certificate
    Titan Rubber Gift Certificate

Wife and kids are out of town starting tomorrow for a few days, so I'll be making use of the gifts and tearing down Ghostbusters and X-Men to give them a shop job.

My wife made me a pinball calender featuring my favorite pins at house. She also found a classic slots coin op book on amazon for $3.
But the awesome one was, she got me 4 pin skins from marcos for my A list machines.
    Score!

A pair of handmade, pinball upholstered bar chairs.
One of a kind, creative Christmas gift from the "xRose_of_Aragonx".
Surprise ideas get pretty difficult at a certain point in this hobby.

Where do get that soldering helper? I have the magnifier one with ali clips but don’t like it — yours looks much more useful for under pf repairs

    #32 2 years ago

I got a shaker motor for my Met Pro... and a "Play Pinball Here" neon sign for the "game room" (which is actually the 2nd bedroom in our apartment). Also got a full set of those little Metallica bobblehead dolls (can't remember the brand name now) that are going to become a topper for the machine.

Pro tip: Inviting the whole family into your lair can result in them becoming hopelessly addicted to pinball, resulting in MOAR PINBALL!

I have a bar, a theater (well, it will be one, eventually), and an arcade, but the only room my wife probably doesn't feel has a place for her is the workshop. Gotta keep the tools somewhere though.

These are awesome. Where'd she find the fabric? My wife is a level 5 master of the textile arts, and we've been looking for barstools. Nice work!
