Hi, Im fixing a Xenon with a very strange problem in the switch matrix:

The only switch with problem is the outhole, in test mode works fine until I closed the drop target #1 switch in combination with another sw of that column. If I do that, the sw outhole shows tilt or spinner or 1 ball release.

For example, if i hold outhole, and drop target 1 and drop target 2, the display show tilt as closed. Then if I release the dt2, and hold #1 button, I get "lower side target" sw on the display. This only happens having drop target 1 down. If i realease drop target 1, outhole switch works ok.

I changed the mpu and driver and I have the same, so is no the board. Also I checked all of the diodes on columns and rows involved. I also cut all the capacitors.

I dont know where look now. thanks

If you map a phantom switch closure on the switch matrix you will get a rectangle. The red markings are your first example and the blue your second. Since the only two switches in common between these two scenarios are the outhole and the drop target, one of those two is your problem.

Check for reversed diode, shorted diode or a short between the lugs or between a lug and a diode lead.

Did you also clip the capacitor on the tilt mechanism? That one causes all sorts of grief.
