So a few months ago, I found that Bally Xenon in a friend's father's garage.
He sold it to me for 260 € (~300$) and I'm trying to have it work now...

Now, after changing the main power supply cable, I managed to light it on.
The CPU board lights only twice (one very quick flash and then two slow ones).
Displays don't seem to be very reactive (two seem to light on, but no symbol)

I've checked the Test Points on CPU and Solenoid Boards, and the only thing that seems out of range is the TP2 on Solenoir Boards, which is 206v instead of 190v...
I also get this value when testing the displays...

I don't know what you guys think about this... Any lead to give me?

I know, this Solenoid Board looks like having burnt, but it also looks like hiving been repaired, so... I thought I'd give a try like that...

(and best wishes to all of you!)

Well thank you very much for your help Pinwiz_pa! This is really helping!

So, from what I can see, no sign of battery leaking here, but again, I might be wrong.

So i'll start looking for a new U8 then.

And i've started reading these Bally/Stern pages fron pinwiki/pinrepair. A shitload of info, bit very interesting!!!
After studying English litterature, going through these tech pages is a great relief!

Still, the more I look at this, the more I feel these E13 and E15 look strange.
I'm not expert (obviously), but aren't they supposed to be connected like those up the picture??

Hmm!
I hadn't reached that point of the page!
That's fascinating!!!

Quoted from Quench:

These days people are using 5101 NVRAM replacements for U8 which eliminates the need for batteries so no worries about leaking batteries anymore.

Now that's a great advice!
Thanks very much! I'll look into that, and I'll try cleaning this U8 tomorrow after work.

Yes !!!
U8 was changed, the CPU boots correctly, and games start and play as wanted!

I can move on to the esthetic side now!
Come on Xenon, let's get naked!!!

Thank you guys for your help !
