Quoted from Galdaien:

When I roll over the first lit roll-over button at the top, the first drop-target falls but nothing is scored and the light doesn't move to the next roll-over/pressing button 2 doesn't drop the second drop target.

It won't until it sees the drop down.

Quoted from Galdaien:

NONE of the drop-target switches activate when pressed closed.
All coils fire/retract in test mode for the drop -targets.
Strange that the 1st roll-over button is recognized in test but does not score in-game?

The 1st rollover is recognized in game by your description, it would not drop the #1 drop target if it didn't. The drop target switch is what activates the other rollover sequence.

Quoted from Galdaien:

Cut a leg on all the caps on the roll-over switches. Replaced diode with 1N4007 on 1st roll-over switch. No change.

The problem isn't with the rollover switches. Stop looking there.

Quoted from Galdaien:

Found the common switch wire connecting the roll-over switches to the drop-target switches (grey/yellow) and discovered it lost continuity between the drop targets and the roll-over lugs. Rewired it but made no difference.

You didn't rewire it correctly. This is where your issue is. Until you get the drop switches working, it is not going to work correctly. The drop switches are on the same column as the top rollovers. Try a temporary jumper wire between the column lugs on the drops and the column lugs on the rollovers.

I don't have a schematic handy for xenon in front of me but it's going to be the wire with the same color on all 8 switches.

Quoted from Galdaien:

The only reason I am questioning roll#1 is because it doesn't score at all, no sound and doesn't clear the light to move onto the second roll target/light. It just makes drop#1 fall and if I keep pressing, it will continue to pulse the coil. All the rest of the roll-overs score points and make a sound even though their corresponding drop switches aren't recognized.

It's working if it reacts to drop the drop. That's all done via the software - software sees rollover #1 close, it reacts to run a routine, which drops the drop. The drop routine would then run (because the switch just closed, when working) which advances the rollover button and scores.

Since none of your drops work, you have to fix that.... there's no other way around this. Maybe you have a sneak short on the drop bank - try pulling the GI fuse and controlled lamp fuse off the rectifier board and see if the drop switches then work.

Make sure the dead blades on the drop switches aren't touching the wrong side - this will mark them permanently closed to the game and it won't ever score them.

wow, wonder what issue someone was trying to solve with that one? Unless it was a bad Operator that didn't want high scores.
