TUBE SHOT!!!

I'm a sucker for the late 70's early 80's pins. I knew I'd eventually have Xenon in my collection, and signed up when CPR announced the recent run. Problem was, I didn't have a Xenon.

I placed Pinside WTB adds, posts, ebay and CR.. Nada. Finally bid on a dog on ebay - won for $110. No backglass, shot playfield, crappy/missing boards...yada yada. I paid 3x more in shipping to get it from Florida to Houston.

However, I found a mint BG, a nice coin door, got my CPR playfield and plastics, Alltek boards. All told I'm into this thing about $2,000 in parts alone. WOOOOHOOO!! Yeah, I'm WAY upside down! ....probably.. who cares.

At midnight tonight I turned 50. I'm drinkin', and playing pinball. Still breathing, healthy. Kids and wife are asleep, life is grand.

Xenon was playing soooo good tonight. I've got everything tuned up and it's playing FAST. Just working on a few pesky lights, misc cosmetic issues... Just thought I'd share... Enjoy.

Thanks guys. ...CPR should really get the credit. That playfield is gorgeous. It hurt me to see the first few dimples as I started playing on it the first time. But heck, I didn't go through all this effort to just look at it.

Quoted from kursiv:

That mint BG fits the front of the backbox you know.

Hehehe - true. But I save that as my 'reward' from getting it done, and it's not done yet. Real close - but not yet. Also, the pin is in my garage/workshop, so I don't want to put the backglass on until it's in the house.

I should also thank Marco, GPE and Cointaker. Lots and lots of new parts...

SunKing, what side of Houston are you on?

SW side - Sugar Land area (Sienna Plantation).
