Xenon ball eject issue - mechanical fix needed

seems like my ball is not wanting to roll completely forward, is does about 50% of the time. Honestly, the minor resistance of the leaf switch mech may be hindering it from rolling forward.

1st pic shows where the ball ends up too often
2nd pic shows where it should end up.

Has anyone come up with a simple fix on this?

Make sure the game is level.

Re-bend the wire switch so it has a nice slope, and it travels in the center of the wood slot.

That or bend the rails the ball rides on up a little to give it more of a slope
