AC/DC LE (Pro version sucks!), TRON, and Spider-Man are all great modern Stern games.
Most of the games I have here are fostered out of other pinheads' collections so that they would see some occasional play. No problems getting people to play them, we had more than 50 people at our housewarming party and no game went unplayed.
I've been playing pinball for more than 40 years all up and down the West Coast and grew up on EMs and early SS games. Me, I'd take Bally Paragon or Atari Superman over most recent games. Older games tend to be more affordable, too. Plus the local pinball community, most of who I think would disagree with some of the sentiments listed above, also has a rather large EM following.
marksf123: No, that was out of sheer frustration that anything you hit got a commentary. We shout back at the screen during Rocky Horror too. It's sometimes like a whole room full of people with Tourette's syndrome. Funny, sometimes pinball competitions are like that too.
Eskaybee: I didn't know those revisions were already in effect. I'll check which version Shorty's has tomorrow, but I bet it'll be 1.1 since it was new last weekend at Skill Shot's 25th Issue Anniversary party.
jackal123: Barracora, Special Force, and Fish Tales don't just go "ding-ding-ding". And the latter two have ramps.
