Quoted from pmWolf:Where would you mount it? I'm assuming the concept is the same as the Tron arcade mod..
Pete
Any existing screw or post nut that doesn't block the view of a lane or is subject to airballs. So far, of the titles that have been selling, customers have found 2, 3, or 4 options, and have been installing in different places (see the Tron pics on the website as one example... www.sparkypinball.com).
There's also a dedicated thread for all the Micro Display Mods, but I'm having a difficult time pasting it from my phone.
**Edit** Now that I'm at a computer, here's the link to the dedicated thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-mod-micro-display-mods-and-tspp-video-tv
Quoted from Ed209:Just installed the sparky micro display in my pro.
» YouTube video
Thanks for posting the vid. Please confirm that the video looks much better in person! I have had a horrible time trying to get good video. The cameras and the displays don't sync, so we see frequency scan lines when filming, but they're not there with live viewing.
Quoted from Ed209:Sparky speaks the truth, the video looks great. Was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to mount it where I wanted but luckily it's easy to swap the mounting bracket to any side of the display.
Is it pretty easy to edit and replace the video Sparky? Might play with a trimmed down video loop that only shows the cartoon intro to see how that looks.
Speaking of cartoon intros, really want a little video of the original TMNT carton looping in my TMNT. I'm a sucker for 80's toons.
Eventually I will get instructions on the website on how to replace the video. It's a little more involved than just re-formatting and copying a new file. The video and micro sd card go through a process to convert to RAW format using the product's software. The steps are pretty easy.
Quoted from rai:I love the call outs.
I do, too! I've only owned the game a few weeks, so maybe it's already been discussed, but based on the art package being so similar to the '90's animated series, I think Stern would have made a mistake if they did the call outs any other way.
Quoted from BOBCADE:Any custom sound rom files out there that improve the callouts?
What's wrong with the callouts?
Quoted from pinballcorpse:Oh boy, here it comes...
I know what the complaints are, but the voices are fairly accurate to the series. I should have written, "There's nothing wrong with the callouts."
Quoted from DugFreez:...but then their is Cyclops yelling "Nooooo! I missed it!!" when you complete his mode and "You did good today people." or something equally as positive when you fail his mode.
There is defiantly something wrong with those callouts.
I'm surprised the "Noooo! I missed it!!" callout even exists in the code as almost every other callout is positive. Almost as if they forgot to record any callouts for failing modes.
I was making the assumption that mbob wanted to change the callouts because he disliked the voices, not because the callouts said the wrong thing. Confirmed in his most recent post.
