A short while ago some x-men owner posted some recommended settings for their Xmen on pinside but I can't for the life of me find the thread. Anyone know the thread I am talking about? They had some recommended mode times, etc.
Thanks.

I use factory settings and wide open outlines. It is a great game but a little tough I find with the mode times. I don't get to play much (life is too busy) so I was looking for something that might provide me with an opportunity to at least see dark Phoenix and danger room every so often.
It really is a great game with some great shots. Got my record 132 combo shots last week.
Anyone think there is a chance for a final code-update to complete the polish and fix the few bugs?
This really is a great game! So glad I got it (I don't even mind the voices anymore - sure they could have been better but voice actors are just too darned expensive now). If that Xavier shot wasn't sooo darned tight (on mine with the belt mod) - it might be perfect.
Quoted from TimeBandit:Me too, but it's definitely because there is much less chance of alcohol being involved.
No, no, alcohol makes you play better. Of course things are upside down in Oz.
The Newton mod is great. I was tired of having Wolvie start so easily and appreciate how it opens up the Xavier shot just enough. I was on the fence about it for years but finally did it last summer. I recommend it and if you don’t like it you can easily revert it.
Quoted from d0n:I haven't used it but it looks horrible in the videos and pics COMPARED to the wolverine figure. Instead of cheap-ing out, I would just buy a new wolverine if mine broke.
You can easily cut the lower part of the broken wolverine off and install it on top. That is what I did with mine and it was perfect. Quite a few people have done this with various inconspicuous ways to mount it. I have since sold mine.
Not sure what their isn’t to like about the newton ball if you can install the original wolverine figure (yes you have to cut it to mount it). But then it looks pretty much the same (yes, you can see a small portion of wood without art.
Anyway, to each their own but it greatly improves the gameplay. It is a very tough game even with the shots opened up a little by the newton ball mod.
