I sure hope they don't. Even though the 90's series was drawn rather poorly it still was the best X-Men series to date. You actually cared about the characters and the voicework was top notch... Like the earlier posts stated- the theme song just kicked ass. It'd be a shame to not have some sort of spin on that riff.
As for the machines color palate,
I'm guessing something in between Azure or a True blue trim for the X-Men and a magneto purple/burgundy for the Brotherhood. Just spitballing here...
Wolverine front and center for the hero LE, Magneto for the villain LE.
I'm also guessing that the Brotherhood machine will be the "cooler" looking version.

As for the DMD, it better have the full screen! After seeing (in person) AC/DC's bright new full display paired with the great non "movie-clip" animation, I am hoping for a similar outcome with X-Men.

I would say that it has been flirting towards that route since B/W folded. Heck, just in the past year alone it seems to have doubled the amount of people wanting pinball machines in the home.

The only ones I've seen without the "W" logo were the older Bally screw type cap, the curved banana flipper style and the translucent type that came on Medusa.

During particular modes they (the windows) pulse on and off to let the player know that the mode is running. It was implemented on TRON:LE rather nicely.

No, it looks to me like they did a mini Monger mechanical mock-up.

They will probably drop down faster and be programmed similar to how the trolls take hits ala MM, so not quite the Monger play per se... But, seeing as how they look spring loaded it is definitely going to be more fun to hit (and faster!) that's for sure!
