I just tried this today and the e clip kept the disc from spinning. Pulled the clip off, spins fine but still clacks.

My machine never needed that either. Some did, some didn't.

Thanks, I will try a different hardware store.
I bought 4 from the local store and they are all the same thickness.
Did anyone ever come up with some type of "sticker" or something to cover up the unpainted area that shows when you install the Wolverine newton ball? The fact that the ball is off center to the unpainted area makes it stand out more. Not that it's a big deal, just thought it would be a nice touch.
