Hi,

On the multiball lock stack, there must be a gate which prevents the already locked balls from being kicked out from their stack and put in the game. This part is missing on my machine. Only the "bridge" is there, but the gate has gone.

Anybody to tell me where I can find that part ?

Thank you

Pinball Life can order one. I got mine from there. It's just a bent wire but it still cost $13.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Don't see it on their catalog for x-men.

Would you mind having a look ?

Thanks again

It's not, I had to e-mail him and have him order it for me specifically.

You might be able to get one of these and the stainless piano wire locally for less than the one from PBL.

I have sent a mail to Terry, lets see what I ll get back

For the tool, I have set of piano wires and a tool supposed to bend them. For a thin wire, no issue. For a strong one, such as the ones on pinballs, I simply cannot make it. If I find no replacement, yes I will make a home made stuff

Thanks to both of you

Answer from Terry

"We do not stock this"

I would make it yourself out of piano wire. Find a piano repair shop and see if you can get a scrap.

I wish I could. Over here it is not legion. I have the wire but not the adequate tool.

Marco specialties has a ton of gates. You may have to measure the distance and then use a gate listed as for another machine, but Stern uses a lot of common parts. What you need is surely here:

Thanks.

You are right, but since recently, Marco changed its shipping policy to Europe. Where you could get a simple envelope for a few bucks, the minimal shipping fee is now 50$. They got rid of 3 alternate possibilities.

Perhaps if you get the part number off Marco for a compatible part, you can use that part number that pinballlife can order for you then. That NASCAR service bulletin gate assembly looks like it might be the right one, too.

Yes, I have sent a message to Ryan, to check if he agrees to send the part for a decent price .

Otherwise, can someone in the US order for me and send by post (i paypal in advance) ?

Thanks

I have tried to order at MArco, and surprisingly, postage fee was normal as in the past. I do not understand. On the one hand they tell me they have changed their policy, and indeed I noticed for small parts that the minimum fee was 50$, here it is 7$.

I have ordered.

Thanks for the good advices

$7 is like parking meter money in Europe. It's almost like you got it for free!

Did the Marco part solve your issue?

Hi,

Sorry, usually I close my thread with the outcome.

I got the right reference from Stern, which is not the one you gave to me (I ll reuse them, no worries). and I have ordered at Marco, now it is ok. Only, as the part is not the original one, the stays sometimes stuck at the top left of the locking lane.

I think it may have just been an issue with this game and always getting stuck open, I've played or seen 3 of these and it happens with all of them. That being said did you get a part number for it as I am missing it in the one I just purchased and would like to put it back in.

Yes I found it.

Please double check with Stern or Marcospec. But if I remember well this is the part you are looking for
