#1 When file cabinet is in the down position, sometimes the ball falls into the gap between the cabinet door and the playing surface. The ball stays in the gap until the machine goes in the search for the ball mode and starts raising the file cabinet, then the ball is released.
#2 When the file cabinet is in the lowered position, and a ball enters the cabinet, sometimes the ball falls in the gap between the side opening of the file cabinet and the lower trough. I can see the ball sitting in the gap by looking down the side of the cabinet with a flashlight. As soon as the machine goes into the search for the ball mode, and the file cabinet raises 1/8 of an inch, the ball goes into the under trough and hits the switch, which puts the machine into multi-ball mode. I replaced the trough switch before I realized that I had a mechanical vs electrical problem.
