Silly question: I'm having difficulty loosening the top nuts on the right and left cling covers (the ones that connect to the ramps). Do I need a certain type of nut driver or specialty tool? The other nuts seem to come off fine with my nut driver. Thanks!

Also, changing bands on this machine is real PITA. It seems like whoever designed this wanted to torture me.

Hey guys! New to the site here. Saw a RR Pinball last year on Facebook Marketplace close to my house. Joked to my wife that if she got it for me for my birthday, she doesn't have get me any birthday or Christmas gifts for 10 years. Needless to say, I am giftless until I'm 45! Looking forward to catching up on this forum to read about all your machines. Attached are recent pictures. I decided to design my own back glass that highlighted all the guys on the playing field. Lucky for me, I am a graphic arts teacher so I was able to design and print it out myself!

This unit, the previous owner bought in a lot and it was vandalized. The left speaker grill is there but the WWF logo is barely there. Is there any place I could buy a new one?? I really dont want to repaint that on my own.

Congrats on your new game but sorry about your future birthdays! Great job on the translite (backglass). Would you be willing to make another and sell it?

Love the backglass. Ill buy one if you make it.

It is worth it not having anymore birthdays for a while!

Being that schools are shut down in PA, I unfortunately cannot get into the building to print any. If you have a print shop near you that is still open, I could sell you the file in whatever format they would need and you can go and get it printed locally.

Can anyone tell me which is the correct leg type for this machine? Is it the smooth one or the one with the groove in it?
Thanks people!

He is using Williams style legs. The original legs for these data East machines were smooth switch a small groove.

I’ve never done any pinsound stuff. Is it hard to figure out?

It’s quite easy. You simple swap the sound board (data East is already wired for stereo), download the sound package to a flash drive and insert it, then boot the machine and play. Check my video earlier in the thread to see the sound mix in action.

Well my Royal Rumble restoration in blue has started! Applied the Retro Refurbs decals and painted the cabinet blue to match. Note for those considering, the decals are a difficult fit as the artwork is too big on all sides in comparison to the original prototype. Notice how the Rumble text just fits but Hogan’s head and fist will be cut off by the rails

Why does this one look so much more yellow than the creator's pics? Just lighting in the picture or lights used in the back box? Thanks

I have white LEDs in my machine, the ones that blink are still the original bulbs, when they go off I get a yellowish glow to the areas.

Looking great! Did your stripes line up from front to sides?

#1430 4 years ago

Because of the way the decals are made you can’t just line up one side and then trim the other. They need trimming on all sides so it’s very hard to line the stripes up. It’s even more of an issue with the way the backbox decals are made. One side is perfect but because they are cut as rectangles to be able to fit both hulks right foot and left arm onto the backbox the WWF logo sits more towards the back one one side.
Here are some pics to illustrate what I mean.

Thanks. Yeah we did ours today and only one side matched up. We also had some marks on our decal. Almost like a pattern. And lines in other spots.

We haven't done the headbox yet. Waiting for router bit to do T-molding. Powdercoating should be done next week, we went with red.

I'll make sure to post in here when it's done

Does anyone know where to get upper playfield flipper rebuild kits, im pretty sure they are not the same as the lower ones, i seem to be having trouble finding where to get them, Thanks in Advance!

not sure if you got your answer but i ordered for a friend on action pinball. Installed and worked great on the upper flipper.

Although, it didnt come with the spring washer but the use of those is debatable. Flipper works great.

The only reference was that one imagine of IPDB..... we then went on a mission to find high res images of the actual wrestler in those poses so the artwork could be redrawn from scratch hassanchop is a true legend when it comes to drawing this stuff.

[quoted image]

They stack. The one on the left in your pic is the bottom. The one on the right goes on top of it. Inlane plastic goes on top of the right one. The ones in your pic are both for the left inlane.

Another way to say it is pick up the one on the right and move it over to the left side. Then squeeze them together. That will be your left inlane guide.

Hi Guys, asking this for someone else. Does anyone know if this machine has a spare connector on the wire loom, right side of the cab near the coin box? I know some Data east's do like LW3 for example (pic included is from that machine) I think that connector is possibly for the bill validator?? not exactly sure as i don't own any Data East's. The reason for the question is to find a 12V & Ground source for a mod. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Cheers guys.

Does anyone know if its worth it to repair/rebuild the shaker motor in this machine ( its making some weird squeaking sounds and sounds like its on its last life) or should i just find/buy a replacement motor? Marco seems to be out of stock of them so not even sure buying a replacement is an option at this point. Thanks in advance

My upper right flipper seems fairly weak in that it doesn’t have enough power to make the Pandemonium shot. There doesn’t seem to be much wear on the plunger or coil stop and it has the correct coil as per manual. Any tips to strengthen that flipper?

Make sure that it isn’t rubbing against the play field. I’ve seen that be a problem on a few of these. Also, I can’t remember if there is an EOS but if so, may try adjusting it.
