Prototype translite
Light up speaker grills
Red trim
Original! topper
Mirror blades
Leded
Titan tron mod
Colored rubbers
And my very unbiased fav ColorDMD.

Did you buy it like that or mod it yourself?

#1253 5 years ago

I purchased the machine from tnt amusements and told Todd Tuckey to do all of this. I also added a new banzi ramp, mini tv that plays royal rumble videos, and had todd light up the topper. Go big or go home. This video will be on todds YouTube channel tnt amusements soon.
Here is an unedited version

Starts around 3:50 min mark.

This is the original topper also.

#1255 5 years ago

Great Video! toddtuckey is the best. Can totally see that it's the original topper now. With no tilt it looks like the laserific one. That Titan tron mod is pretty cool. I may have to try finding one soon.

Hey all. I'm still working on my high-end restore, and thought I'd share where I landed with my custom artwork. It's printing now and I... am... pumped!

Took Sting off?

#1259 5 years ago

Yeah. I really liked having him on there, but the more I thought about it, the more I would get questions. So, I figured this is a safer route. Plus, I wanted to incorporate Ultimate Warrior, so it was a good trade-off.

Those look nice. Why did you go with current Shawn rather than ‘92 Shawn?

Thanks. I wanted early 90's Shawn but was at the mercy of high-res photos available online.

Just picked it up. Pics don’t do it justice. So excited.

Thanks for the comments!

I bought a NOS playfield, so I'll probably keep it as stock as possible. I did debate doing some custom plastics, and I still may at some point, but most of my plastics are in great shape. I'm also ready to be done with this and play a bit.

My cabinet was pretty beat up, so it needed to be redone either way. Creating custom graphics there was an easy choice.

#1266 5 years ago

I still wish somebody would do a decal set for the body to make it look like the prototype version. I am surprised nobody has posted they have it on pinside or this thread.

#1267 5 years ago

Is there much demand for replacement plastics for WWFRR? I've decided that since I've spent so much time restoring the game, I might as well create new plastics. I'll likely just re-create the artwork and only do custom in a few places, but if there is demand for one, two, or a set of these, it might change how I approach it.

TL/DR - Is there anyone looking for a set of WWFRR plastics, or is there a common plastic(s) that many need?

#1268 5 years ago

Looking for a Subway. Does anyone know of a source for one. Mine broke and is currently held together with tape to keep the balls from falling into the cabinet. Has this part been remade at any point? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

Just had my new plastics printed and cut. Note that they still have a white poster board backing so where it is white, it is actually clear (other than the printed parts). Also, haven't removed the protective film, so they look blurry, but when it's peeled back, nice and brand new clear/shiny.

I placed the corner piece and back piece adjacent for comparison. Also adjusted the back piece text of "Let's Rumble" to say "Royal Rumble" with the WWF line logo. Also made the two upper playfield plastics into a single piece with a peek window.

I'll need to adjust a few colors such as deepening the blue and making the green a bit more "neon", but excited with how they turned out.

Quoted from allsportdvd:

I’m doing this for a high-end restore, but if others are interested, I’m sure I could have another set printed and cut. Same would go for the custom decals I created.

I’m also debating if I should do a couple unique sling/return lane plastics. Something about the numerous legion of doomesque black on red doesn’t do it for me.

New slings would be great. Maybe a set of the Moondogs?

Yea these look really nice! But no drop target Plastic for under the coffin? Mines chipped I would think this one would be needed for most.

For me it’s the plastic on top of the captive ball. I’d be interested in a set. Let’s see how many more are in for a set

#1277 5 years ago

Yeah I'd be interested as well. I have some alternative slingshot plastics on my game featuring Bret Hart and Rick Flair, they are from RDReynolds and look very nice.

Does anyone else have a hell of a time getting the ball into the kickback on the upper playfield? I have a 1 in like 20 success rate. Just wondering if it’s that hard, or if I may have the game too steep.

Yes its extremely difficult to get it in there. May have to lower the leg levelers a bit in the back so the pitch isn't too high.

#1284 5 years ago

Looking to buy if anyone is looking to sell.

#1285 5 years ago

Wow, there's a lot more interest than I originally gathered. Thanks for the comments!

I'm still working on tweaking the design and colors to my liking. The issue is that the original plastics were screen printed, and that's not the process that I'm using. I'm doing what Stern does now which is a glorified printer. Don't get me wrong, it still looks great (as I'm sure most have not complained about Stern's plastic printing process either), but the rub is getting a new CMYK color to get somewhat near an existing true pigment paint without spending a fortune. Not to mention, most of the plastics screen printed back in the day had a reflective element added to them which further complicates the color match.

Attached are a few images showing what I'm dealing with. The green above the TAG targets and blue and yellow backgrounds have been the biggest bear. However, I'm pretty happy with the progress on the "legion of doom" red/orange/black fan plastics (original on left/new on right). That said, looking at the images up close, you can see the difference in the printing processes and their respective results.

That said, once I feel that they are close enough, I'll be happy to respond via PM to those that are interested. If anyone else is interested, please PM me to avoid derailing the thread.

Quoted from phillymadison:

Nice! If you're able to make an extra one I would be deeply greatful

And good news... I was able to get this one cut and the color was pretty dang close on the first try (image attached). I don't need it as mine is pristine, so if you're still interested, shoot me a PM.

Again, appreciate all the positive comments and hope to get these dialed in soon.

Sorry, I read this before you edited it when it said "sounds" and disregarded as I was not altering the audio of the game. That said, I'll probably make another run of these at some point, so I'll let you know if I come up with alternate sling plastics.

That Macho Madness shot is tight and hard as hell, most of the times I just got lucky. Probably the hardest shot, with the behind-the-casket shot taking #2 for me.

What I want to know is if anyone ever able to backhand up the left ramp? I was never able to, it would never get to the top. Maybe that is by design but it always bothered me.

I’ve only done it on the fly. Never from trap. And the back in the ring shot is #1 hardest for me. Man that’s tough.

#1289 5 years ago

Backhanding the Banzai Ramp is rare. With Macho Madness and getting back in the ring you almost have to not trust your eyes and flip at the very very last second.

Hey guys. Not a member, but it is on my wish list.

I just re-themed a machine I thought you may be interested in. It is a Wrestling Superstars machine based on the old rubber action figures.

Greetings All, new member! Have owned my WWE RR for maybe 3 years now. Have only installed LEDs in the backbox and then only the #44s. It was German, but has been converted to Aussie, still has German coin mechs. Have original topper which I probably paid waaaay too much for. Sits right next to my autographed Hogan stuff. Wish I had the pin when I met him as I would have taken the transliterated to sign.

Spent yesterday reading every post from this thread. So much knowledge to soak in for this noob. So many talented people here. Hope to discuss more about this pin later in the thread. Cheers everyone!
