Hello all,
I'm having a WWF Slam Tilt issue....
Below is a breakdown of what has been attempted. I am no expert in any of this. Any advice you may have or suggestions would be helpful on how to possibly remedy this very, very frustrating situation.

SLAM TILT KNOWN FACTS:

At first, I thought it was the slam tilt switch on the coin door so I put some cardboard between the switch thinking that it would stop....no.

Then, I checked all switches in switch test and took glass off to try the various switch combinations to try and replicate the slam tilt.....nothing.

Then, one day while playing, I hit the left flipper button and the machine registered a slam tilt.

I narrowed it down to the left flipper button...depressing that is what seems to cause the slam tilt (at random times).

I checked every diode orientation on the slam tilt row and column and all bands on the diodes are facing the same way.

I checked every diode with a meter and all, including the switch diodes when activated, read in the .5 range.

I checked the flipper board diodes inside the cabinet...all had a reading .4 to .5

I checked all diodes on the switch matrix board in backbox...all had a reading from .475 to .5

I checked for loose ground wires, nuts, etc. and tightened everything. Nothing more I can find.

I went to switch test and watched the DMD as I was pressing ONLY the left flipper button....after repeatedly pressing it 50 or so times, very quickly I saw on the screen Switch #7 (slam tilt) activate. When I continued to press the button, it wouldn't happen again for like 100 tries. Very random, doesn't always activate at the same time.

I put glass on, closed coin door and started a game. With the ball still in the shooter lane, I randomly pressed the left flipper button and after awhile, SLAM TILT. No other drop targets etc. were activated.

I proceeded to play a game again, was able to finish my game, but couldn't get it to slam tilt. I had a party, played it for hours, no problems.

Played the next day and after about 15 min.......SLAM TILT. This problem is very random and seems to happen when it wants.

I am completely out of ideas....Any suggestions you could provide would be helpful. Very frustrating. If there is something I am doing wrong feel free to guide me. I am definitely not the best "tech" but I am more than willing to learn. Thank you very much.
