None of the insert lights in the mini play field are working and I have no manual or schematics. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have no clue as of where to look in the Data east games. Thanks.

Still can't get them to work!! Any takers?

There aren't many Data East guys around here, and the ones that are may be getting distracted by your avatar and forgetting what they were here for.

Did you run through the lamp tests in the menu? What were the results?

When was the game last working fully, and what has happened since then?

What have you tried?

if only the mini playfield isn't lighting up would suspect like a loose or bad connector to it. Just my opinion. i wouldn't think its a board issue or anything

I have a WWF for sale on eBay (UK) I'll check out the connections / schematics. I have had several DE machines (about 20) and repair the CPU boards so should be able to help you solve this, bear with me I will look tomorrow for you (bear in mind I am in UK) so hopefully have answer on here before you wake up Sunday

Thanks! I took the mini playfield of and checked all connectors and wires but all were snug. There was some insulation a one wire that had worn down to the wire but still in tact. Would Mathis do it or am I looking at a burnt transistor?

I can email you the manual. PM me your address if you need it.

Just checked circuit diagram a these lamps are on Column 7 so check transistor Q65
and Yellow/Violet on CN7 8 to make sure it's connected. Suspect Q65

Q65 is a TIP42, if tests ok Check the pre-driver transistor
Q56 which is a 2N6427

Further back into circuit comes IC 9F 7408 chip and back further is PIA 6821 chip at 11D
