Quoted from Frax:

Timer for completion after first standup switch hit in that area then kill the power to the slings. Done.

This was also going to be my suggestion. On the Data East Royal Rumble, they incorporated "life bars" on the wrestlers showing on the DMD and as you hit pop bumpers and specific targets, it would lower their energy levels, etc... a similar function could be employed here either with a timer as you mentioned, or a "damage meter". Since they mention the top kick out hole is how you count the pinfall, and it only counts to 3 if you've done enough damage, maybe after the 3 count the slings power off and the ball drains to the lower playfield.

Definitely a lot of options to make it fun and follow the theme, but all code dependent.

This might be wishful thinking, but with the new SPIKE system -- I wonder how long before people figure out how to modify and write their own code and rules? Would be pretty awesome for home brew folks to be able to implement their own set of code.

Referencing back to the Data East game, they had an "out of the ring" concept as well which in most cases allowed you to restart multiball by getting the ball back to the mini playfield within a short time limit while Vince McMahon yelled, "Get back in the ring!" continuously.

Back to WM, I really like the idea of creating incentive to intentionally drain from the ring to "power up" or accomplish some task within a time limit and then return or be DQ'd from the match.

Warning to all owners of the LE table: be careful when removing and replacing your glass because Hulk Hogan's signature is not sealed on the plaque... Just Sharpie on the glossy metal and wipes off like dry erase if your finger or knuckle brushes it. I just noticed mine is missing half the "k" now.

On the plus side, maybe sometime I can get Hulk to wipe it off completely and re-sign it since he's signing stuff all the time at his Miami Beach Shop.

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

Would putting a clear coat on it protect it?

Yep, but it's too late on mine now - though I'll probably do this once I have it re-signed.

I wouldn't recommend mylar, even though it would technically do the trick -- if it's not installed correctly, it may look awful/bubbled/or put an odd sheen to the finish.

Thankfully on the playfield itself, John Trudeau's signature is under the top coat so it's safe.

Quoted from epichoff:

Did anyone figure out how to seal Hulk Hogan's signature on the WWE Le Machine yet?

If/when I get my autograph plate replaced/re-autographed, I will probably use Krylon Crystal Clear and do two or three light coats then reinstall in the machine.

P.S. Nice Mr. Fuji avatar! (Also I just sent you a message on Twitch in reply to your chat message.)
