Just curious how many SE Wonka’s owners are updating to LE’s and why? Also if you ordered an LE and just decided to keep the SE? Just asking because I am still up in the air on what to purchase. I want an LE but some friends tell me just get the SE it’s the same game in the end! I know it’s personal preference but I like other opinions

Quoted from zaphX:

I am sure those plates come off easily with 2 screws on the end of the playfield, just like the rule card holders on the SE.

Yes looks like 2 screws going to the side or under the apron

I have finally joined the Club! I ended up going with the LE, fell in love with the CE but budget wasn’t loving it! Very very happy! I absolutely love this pin. I bought it from Chris Meunier from Kingpin Games! Great guy and very friendly and helpful every step of the way.

I noticed there’s no attract music like Woz has. I loved it with Woz would just play through all the play list of music. Wonder why Wonka doesn’t have this feature

#3120 4 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

It does.. it needs turned on in the settings.

When it’s turned on your machine constantly plays attract music when not in play ? Mind does not, it will only play Pure imagination once every 10 minutes or so

Custom Wonka Topper! Made my own topper using a Wonka slot topper I bought off of eBay, I had to retrofit it so it won’t fall on top and hit the glass! I think it came out beautiful and it’s just right for this game. Not too much glare and the brightness is perfect. It changes colors and does all kinds of patterns.

Does anyone know where I can get the Big Points sticker for the Gobstopper ?

#3191 4 years ago
Quoted from VALIS666:

Do you have a link or store for that? My Oompa is currently dismembered at both the hand and foot and I'm waiting on a new one (thanks for the quick response, Steve!), but when I get it and reinstall, some protection from this happening again would be nice. There's something extra sad about seeing an Oompa Loompa lying face down on the playfield with its limbs broken off.

There is this Chocolate bar mod,

My ramp diverter is not working right, it seems to be diverting too slow and causing the ball to drop weird plus makes it impossible to make the super lock shot. I definitely now something is not right with it, any suggestions what it might be ?

#9166 2 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

If the ball is dropping at all, the diverter might not be the issue. I would check the kid magnet. This magnet can get pounded down on one side making a "shelf" that the ball can hang on, or at least pause on for a moment before rolling on.
The fix is to replace it or at least remove it and grind the lug down to be flat again.

Checked the magnet, it’s perfect. It’s the diverter, I read a post while back where someone loosened the four screws on the coil ramp and adjusted the position. I have to give it a try because there’s definitely something different with it! I had the Wonka LE before upgrading to a CE and the diverter on the le was smooth like butter this CE it’s slow and sometimes missing

#9220 2 years ago

Wonka is my favorite, I am so so happy to have it back in the lineup especially the CE. The kids haven’t stopped playing it. It’s so beautiful and everything about it is Scrumdiddlyumptious!

#9231 2 years ago
Quoted from Vitty:

Wowza Ive got some work to do….lol

I second that! I need some work, I can’t get pass 2 golden tickets lol

#9285 2 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Honestly the strategies remain mostly the same. Some of the penalties (like losing your collected kids if you drain, kid super blocking other kid jackpots etc) have been adjusted out.
Even so, I've been thinking about redoing the tutorial for 2.0...also correct the audio glitches, try and watch my cursing so it's kid-friendly, etc.

Always enjoyed your videos, I still look back to learn different rules! looking forward for an updated 2.0

#9286 2 years ago

Would love to see more music/scores from the original movie, something like jukebox play same as on Woz and GnR. Where we can hear music from the original film playing on attract mode. That would be awesome

#9297 2 years ago

Just curious what’s the best strength setting for the flipper coils ? Leave it stock or bump them up ?

#9326 2 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

The best way to do this:
- Don't collect bonus unless you have 200 bars or more
- Don't collect bonus until a superX is also available on the saucer shot
- Don't collect bonus until you've banged the gobstopper to increase BonusX
When executed optimally you can have multiple million points off this single shot. Imagine 300+ bars with 5X super AND 8X bonus multipliers!
How to avoid collecting it? When you see it qualified and you're not ready, hit the captive ball to toggle a different orange saucer option.

Do you find it harder to collect over 200 bars in the new 2.0 ? Seems harder to do now

#9329 2 years ago

Is there a way to adjust the spinner? For some reason mine doesn’t rip like it should! I noticed from my previous Wonka and from videos that this thing rips. My CE only rips slowly! Any suggestions

#9333 2 years ago
Quoted from DavidCPA:

Give it a little lube. I use this.... it will then RIP[quoted image]

There’s something definitely not working right, I uploaded a video of the spinner action and I think there’s some kind of resistance especially against the leaf switch. It stops mid-stream

#9353 2 years ago
Quoted from bigd1979:

Just need to ajust the metal switch arm so it's not as tight when down . If u loosen the 2 switch screws the entire switch can ajust which will change the metal arm height

Working great now! I ended up just bending the metal arm on the switch. I noticed when loosened the screws it didn’t drop the actual switch, bending the arm worked perfect. Now it rips

I have a new Wonka CE with about 400 plays, the family absolutely loves it and plays it everyday! Is there any preventative measures we should take as far as playfield pooling and other important things to do before we keep on playing? I didn’t see any sticky threads on this! So I figured it’s best to ask the forum

Quoted from marioparty34:

I have an LE/CE. The recommended location of mod placement makes the Wonkavator lean quite a bit. I was hoping to be able to attach it in a more upright position. Thanks for responding.
Any LE/CE owners willing to share an up close pic of it installed?

This was on my LE a while back! I now have the CE and have to repurchase the Wonkavator.

The reason I think the Wonkavator is made for the SE, to be put in the center with a screw, on the LE & CE this doesn’t work! I think if they made the tab that comes out if the Wonkavator a little longer for the LE & CE it will work with that screw! LerMods emailed me and told me to install on the right side of the ramp lower screw. I felt that when I did install it was on a downward angle and looked out of place! I ended up using heavy 2 way tape and taped it to the center of the ramp right in front of the Wonkavator lock. Great stuff from LerMods and I recommend this to all Wonka owners!

The pic is how it looks installed on the center screw! It was too close to the Wonkavator Mech. It was actually hitting it! LerMods recommends to install on the screw in red circle but when I did it looked like it was facing down as the same slope of the ramp!

Again this is from my LE I had sold, the placement on the LE/CE should be the same. Definitely looking forward to buying this mod again, great stuff

Quoted from marioparty34:

That's a very nice video. So the problem I am running into is this. On my Wonkavator, I have two screw tabs. I can't find an area where there are 2 screws that I can use.
My second issue is that if I just use one of them (like in your video) the slope of the ramp makes my Wonkavator very tilted. And for my OCD, I can't handle it.
Any thoughts on either of my issues? I keep thinking I am missing something really basic.[quoted image][quoted image]

Definitely belongs in the middle, I had the same problem on my LE as mentioned in the above post

Craziest thing happened to me tonight while I was playing my Wonka CE, I went for the kid multiball shot and all of the sudden there was a big spark and it shorted out my game! I shut it off, waited a few minutes and restarted it, luckily it powered on perfectly but as I look closer I can see that the magnet is missing some protective coating I am guessing that was the cause. What do you guys think ?
