Quoted from melumga:

In case anyone cares or comes across the same issue, all problems were due to a faulty opto board. I got a replacement sent to me by a local distributor and all is good in the Wonka factory again.

Did you have any issue with the switch getting stuck after you hit it?

Quoted from txstargazer3:Remove the Gobstopper by pulling up on it. Then, turn over the gobstopper and remove the three screws holding the Y-shaped plate in place. Then remove the plate from the Gob and set the Gob aside. At this point, I saw that there were scrape marks on the plate where it had been hitting the two screw heads that hold the motor in place.
You will see a short cylindrical piece of the Y-plate that was inside the Gob. It has two small Allen screws in it. The Allen screw farthest from the Y-plate was not screwed in far enough so the whole assembly was slipping down and hitting the screw heads on the top of the motor. I tightened that Allen screw until it stuck about halfway into the hole in the shaft. I did not touch the other Allen screw.
Just put the plate back in the same way it came out and put the three screws back in to the plate/Gob. Slip it back onto the shaft and you should immediately see that it created a nice gap beneath the Gob. As you slip the glass back on, make sure the glass will clear the Gob. Mine did with no trouble and it spins like crazy now!
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

I need to remove the Y-plate to attach the screws to the Gobbstopper. What size Allen wrench did you use? It's smaller than anything I have.
Thanks

Quoted from txstargazer3:

I believe it was a 1/16” Allen wrench.

Thanks. I will give that a try.

Quoted from Bowlingpin:

Man, this game is fun! Never had friends and family play it so much...
Did jersey jack remove some movie clips?
Currently running LE1.31
I’ve started wonkavator about 7 or so times but haven’t seen the wonkavator ball lock 1 or 2 -MOVIE scene/clip once, only the (animated balls in wonkavator clip)
11:09 is what I’m refferring to

I have the CE version and have never seen that clip. It just shows the one ball in the wonkavator. Anyone else?

Quoted from robey99:

Sorry. Matt at Back Alley did my coin door. He does great work and matched perfectly.

Just had mine done on my CE. Had some delays with USPS getting it to Matt, but he turned it around quick and sent it back before Christmas. He is great to deal with. I Highly recommend.

I'm having an intermittent issue with balls getting stuck in the saucer. (See Picture Below)
Anyone run into this? It only seems to happen when I have several multi balls. Eventually it looks for the ball and kicks one out but it does take awhile. Any suggestions?

Quoted from Pinballomatic:

Clean the reflective opto with isopropyl (medical) alcohol. Put shiny pinballs in the game

Quoted from zaphX:

Have you ever changed the balls? Could be sticking via magnetism if you already confirmed the saucer opto works.

Thanks. I will give both a try.

Quoted from Lermods:

Thanks for all the positive remarks on our wonkavator. Just a heads up we are about a week behind to get these out as they have been selling faster than we can make them. People can still order, just expect it to be about a week to ship.

Quoted from Phbooms:

Thanks! I already had both there links bookmarked, im looking for somebody thats seen them both in person and which they thought was better. I would rather have the one that is more interactive but it seems they both have some lighting in them but its hard to tell which is a better choice for a SE.

I Finally ordered the Lermods one about three weeks ago. I have a CE and it looks great. The install was easy and its made very well. I highly recommend getting this one.

Quoted from Tdavis7965:

Can you share a pic of your CE with this mod? Interested, but would like to see in a CE before committing to purchase.

Here you go.

Quoted from Rager170:

Can I ask where you got the wonka hat that is sitting on top of the pop bumper? Love it!

Mezel Mods. https://mezelmods.com/collections/willy-wonka-and-the-chocolate-factory-pinball-mods/products/willy-wonka-pinball-top-hat

I put it center on the pop bumper. I think it's a must have. IMO the color changing light band on the hat looks great.

Quoted from djsolzs:

Has anyone over at JJP commented on the possibilities of this before? They seem to add new call outs to updates - not sure the limitations on the assets.

Quoted from TonyScoots:

Would love to see more music/scores from the original movie, something like jukebox play same as on Woz and GnR. Where we can hear music from the original film playing on attract mode. That would be awesome

I second that. Would love to see a jukebox mode.

Quoted from chewiec:

Does anyone else wish that when you get to Oompa Loompa Odyssey it would randomly play one of the Oompa Loompa songs from the movie?

Would love to see more assets added.

Quoted from zaphX:

Yeah man we're at "payoff" stage (12,500 plays) now.
I bought a spare playfield, plastics and mylars cause I will never sell this thing when that day eventually comes without it
(That said it's holding up very well and looks great)

You were able to buy a spare CE Playfield from JJP?
I called last year and they said they weren't selling them.

Quoted from zermeno68:

Man, this game is a keeper.... There is enough code and shots to keep me busy. I am gonna call that this it will take me at least 1 year to beat with the limited gameplay I have right now. Can only consistently get 2 Golden Tickets, but I try to get different tickets each time.
My strategy is not the best, but I like that I can try to devise my own. Damn this game is fun and wished I got the CE model... Oh well.
Is it worth buying a spare playfield? How does the playfield hold up after 7K+ plays?

Does anyone have spare playfields? I called JJP and they weren't available. I was looking for a CE.
