Bad news regarding playfield finish. My LE has a August 2020 production date. I've submitted a support request and am waiting to hear back from JJP at this time.

Adding to my previous post: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/wwcf-club-wonka-golden-tickets-inside/page/126#post-5912707

Based on what I found under the apron, it has a date code of 08/01/2019. I'm guessing that the date is formatted as DD/MM/YY which is more common in Europe not MM/DD/YY as is more common in the U.S.

I've heard back from JJP on my playfield. Per Jack's addressing this in 2019, JJP doesn't replace a playfield that only has pooling. If the playfield should start chipping, JJP will evaluate and determine if they add you to the replacement playfield queue. They are keeping my support case open at this time. As I've said before this is a commercial amusement game not a fine collectable and I understand that pooling alone doesn't warrant replacement. If the playfield deteriorates beyond pooling I'll be contacting JJP for further consideration and will keep the forum updated. Now I'm going to go play the snot out of my new toy.

After playing my LE for a few hours I've grown to dislike the most secret machine sound. It's too short and just a constant repetitive glooping noise. I now avoid hitting the most secret machine shot so I don't have to listen to it glooping on and on as I have some difficulty with the shot after it opens. I wonder why they didn't use the sound from the machine in the movie?

It would be a great improvement if in the next software update they change it. So here's hoping they do(fingers crossed).

Quoted from RDReynolds:

Having an issue on my Wonka where a ball will drain then get stuck at the end of the trough instead of rolling to meet the other balls in the trough. This happens frequently, like once every 2-3 games. Any cures for this? It seems so odd to me. Doesn't appear to be a ball magnetization issue...and I have cleaned the trough.

It’s an issue the factory knows about. I opened a support ticket and they shipped me an end piece that closes off the trough. It installs using existing screws so you aren’t making any new holes in the playfield.

I can't say enough good about the PinWoofer system for Wonka. I was really disappointed in the stock audio and PinWoofer came to the rescue. Dan is awesome with tech support. I highly recommend installing the system!

Quoted from waveform:

Regarding "the fart", I don't want to ruin the source for anyone who wants to hold onto their own interpretation of the sound, buuuuut I think it's this:
Now, what did the foley artist use to make that noise?

My big question is why they didn't use these sounds for the Everlasting Gobstopper machine sound once you've hit it? They used some sort of short clip that repeats endlessly, and I think is "supposed" to sound like the candy being extruded but it's awful. Big miss in my book. It should, nay needs to be changed in a future update. If you like the current sound, JJP could make it a menu choice.

Because there is a light pipe that brings the light up to the playfield, and with RGB LEDs the GI isn’t limited to one color, it’s full spectrum.
