What did they do when they needed to go to the bathroom?

Hi guys, I was thinking about getting a Wonka CE edition. Is it a wide body? Also does anyone know how much it weighs? Anyone have any negative comments about it , or you all love it?
Trying to figure out if get this (since my wife may like it), or wait for Guns N Roses (which I know my wife won't give a damn about)

#5437 3 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

It is not a widebody.
It is heavy like all JJP pins though!
It is still a game that grabs us after almost 10k plays (first 5k on an SE, then we upgraded to the CE.)
The CE package is very nice, we especially like the Julie Dawn Cole callouts. Lots of nice to haves, sparkle playfield / candy armor / undercab lighting.
100% no regrets for us. Wife plays more than I do!

Does it come with raDcals?

#5439 3 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Sure does![quoted image]

Wonka CE on the way! I wish someone would invent some sort of pinball machine flipper so I can play one , press a button, it goes into storage, then the other game comes out.. I have no more room!

#5468 3 years ago

I didnt realize it came with under cabinet lighting, thats awesome! All games should come with that automatically !

#5469 3 years ago
Quoted from Oneangrymo:

And I didnt know it was signed by Charley! Cheer up Charley! I hope its the original actor?

Man if they ever come out with a BTTF signed by J Fox, Lloyd and some of the other cast, Biff! Man I would be so happy!

#5479 3 years ago
Quoted from Navystan:

Well, as of yesterday, I'm in the club with a WWLE. Have a few issues though. Upon taking out of the box, noticed the Gobstopper paint missing. The Gobstopper was jammed against the playfield glass and some paint came off and onto the glass. I put in a service ticket to address. Also, I noticed the left ball saver plunger seems to be out of sync. It either is firing early or late. Balls just go through. Can that be adjusted? If so, how?
Thanks.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

What is JJP going to do about that gobstobber thingy color that came off? Just curious. Is the glass cleanable or does that need to be replaced too?

My machine was delivered about a week ago and has been sitting nib in my garage haven’t had a chance to get to it . The temps in my garage are reaching 90 degrees that won’t cause any harm will it ?

#5505 3 years ago
Quoted from Schwaggs:

I wouldn't leave my machine in in hot, humid conditions for long.

Shit . One week wouldn’t cause any issues would it ?

#5510 3 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

I agree with above, you dont want humidity on it. The wood can swell can cause various issues let alone humidity isnt good for electronics, metal....

I guess I will move it indoors this weekend .. sigh.

#5513 3 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

I dont know how you could wait haha. Id be setting that machine up asap.

my back and arms hurt these days, can hardly bend over.. so I just let machines sit in the garage until I can get the energy. Last time the jurassic park LE sat in my garage I think for couple months before I decided to open it.. Ill get to this one this weekend.

#5526 3 years ago

Man there some heavy underwear in this machine or what this thing was a pita to get I the basement . Freaking heavy! After this I’m done moving machines time for hired help

Quoted from daveyvandy:

Damn that sucks. I gotta imagine JJP / your distributor will take care of you.

I don’t know what they can do other then send me a new blade which is going to be a pita to replace . It looks defective there is a piece of plastic sticking out that just rubs against it hard even if I use the protectors u can’t put them on there is no room

Quoted from Adipocere:

That's pretty sloppy. I would make sure you report it and hold them to making it right.

Yeah I’m Pretty sad about it so much money I spent I hate dealing with nib issues . I really hope they send someone to fix this for me , I don’t have energy to do it myself and time

#5548 3 years ago
Quoted from Gumby510:

My lockdown bar was all bubbled when I got it. Got a replacement that took 3 months. That one as well looks like yours. I put in for another replacement. Still waiting as they are back ordered. They have an issue for sure with whoever does the powder coating

Thanks for the info, I hope they can fix these things, still sad.. but sleeping, eating and drinking. Not letting it effect me too much I guess. I think my side rail imperfections are finger prints! Maybe its charley's finger prints from when he signed the plaque!

#5550 3 years ago

Another game that takes a photo and reminds me of my double chin .. great

#5552 3 years ago
Quoted from Adipocere:

I really wish they would put like a photoshop type filter on these photos that make them look more "painting" like. POTC did this with the wanted poster selfies and it was a great effect. Surely they could do something similar here?

yeah make everyone a oompa loompa!
That would be great.

#5583 3 years ago

Just curious does anyone know if Jack himself still checks his emails or not?

#5616 3 years ago

Ok I’m starting to loose it . now I’m into collecting blankets and quilts for my pins , thanks u guys . My wife is like “u need help big time “

I got my new art blade to replace the damaged one that came with my pin. I can install it using the "wet" technique, but does anyone have a good method to get the old one off, and also has anyone had to correct that left ramp from hitting the left side of the cabinet ? How do I fix that? Its just rubbing into that side
Some sort of metal/plastic bracket.

#5686 3 years ago
Quoted from Gumby510:

It’s a tight fit and the only way to prevent damage to the side art is to buy those protectors from pinball life. I use them all the time and they work perfect. Still a tight fit even to get them on right.

Thanks man, I have those protectors and use them all the time, but the thing is you can't even fit them on because the black bracket hits right agains the left cabinet. I need like a 1 mm to get the protector in.

#5738 3 years ago
Quoted from jimbodeanny:

The best method I've found with getting the left protector on is to start from the top, first wedging the protector down and under the left ramp section near the back. Then slowly wedge the protector downwards, rocking it back and forth. If you try to get the protector between the back left ramp just by using a horizontal motion, you'll have trouble. You need to angle it down from the top. Once you do it once or twice, you'll have the motion down and won't run into trouble. It just takes some practice.
I do it in one of my videos here. (Although the angle isn't the greatest, but you can at least see the motion.)

I think Im going to work on that damaged blade today or tomorrow. Does anyone have a good way to remove the old one? I hope it just peels off.

I was wondering why I like wonka but hate the drains and noticed this gap with a missing pole? Did anyone else’s come like that ?

It ships that way from the factory - there is a cheater post in the coinbox you can put in if you wish.

Figured I should check the coin box it’s cheating !?

I also use the washer that came with it ?

Hey guys my game is acting weird at that magnet ball shot from the left
Flipper , the magnet keeps holding the ball until it goes into ball search any ideas ?

#7600 3 years ago
Quoted from Pinballomatic:

Could the magnet core be sitting a bit too low so that the ball is actually just resting there on the lip?

I dont think so, thanks for the advice, but everything was perfectly fine until right now And after ball search mode, the magnet finally releases the ball.

#7606 3 years ago

So to make sure i understand the game right, you collect wonka bars. You hit the right WONKA factory to start up modes. How do I get a golden ticket?
and is there an actual end to the game?

#7649 3 years ago

Well problem hasnt recurred, so dont know. Weird. I assume it was some stuck switch as someone else suggested.

This whole achievement Scorbit thing has definitely taken my game to a different level it’s amazing !

Ok I just played the best game I ever have and got like 3 million thinking I’m going to upload this score and kick everyone’s butt only to see that the top players are like 30 million . Got some work to do I guess

#9785 2 years ago

I haven’t really looked into it yet but each game should show how many total achievements there are like u have 5 out of 200 or something

#9788 2 years ago

I didn’t realize this entire time there are presets for machines to make gameplay easier . Extra easy it is ! Awesome !

#9800 2 years ago

Hey guys, my gobstopper hole was making a lot of grinding noises. Once I went through test mode and made it go around in circles a couple time the noise went away. Do you recommend I put some lube down there?
Thanks

Hi guys so last night I got a score of about 10,000,000. I went through all the modes, won wonka office and collected 3/5 golden tickets. Once I played the last mode, they all "reset", like all the lights went off and I think I had to play the modes all over again? Does that mean its keeps repeating until I complete all 5 golden tickets?
Thanks

#9846 2 years ago
Quoted from chewiec:

Did you collect the factory mode golden ticket? Once you do, all of the factory modes (inventing room, welcome to the factory, etc.) reset and you can do them again. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe once you do all the factory modes you will still have to hit a shot in the wonkavision to collect the ticket. You still should have seen the golden tickets you earned but the lights for the modes do go off after you collect and you can repeat them. Always good in case you didn't collect Veruca or Charlie on the Kid Multi-ball since Golden Egg Room and Fizzy Lifting Drink are the only modes to unlock them.

So once I collect all 5 golden tickets, complete all factory modes, and collect all kids for kid multi ball, then is the final wizard lit activated?
and that is the end of the game?
Thanks

#9851 2 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

I have no clue how you guys can get such high scores hahahah. Good for you!

Easy mode in the settings my man.. easy settings.

Its awesome to do Wonka office, what a work of art this machine truly is. the integration with the movie works so well.

Quoted from zermeno68:

To prepare for Wonka’s arrival… I took the step to blow up the rule sheet and laminate it.
Wish more companies do this so I can repeat this for each game.
22 x 28… it can go much larger as the dpi is high
[quoted image]

Man thats a great idea, Im going to do the same.

Is this sheet on their website?

#11820 1 year ago
Quoted from zermeno68:

Yes it is. They have the game rules in a single pdf. Perfect to put on a thumb drive or send it to your local printer company.
FYI, it was not cheap. Blow up poster size was $21 and lamination was $13. Hopefully your area is priced better.
However, I really need this to keep as a reference.

Im going to get them about placemat size, get them laminated, and then replace the placemats currently on the dining table with these! Now during dinner every night family can study the rules too!

Quoted from gumnut01:

So one of my artblades on my CE was scratched by the first owner. Shame they didn’t have the pinball life protector. Can I order a replacement blade from JJP?[quoted image]

may not have been the owners fault, several of us received damaged art blades especially on that side direct from the factory.
