My Wonka is factory settings with my high score is at 13,425,000

I actually realized after i posted that there arent a whole lot of scores added...

What is the average scoring for this?

#4152 4 years ago

Maybe some inline resistors for the topper? Different ones can determine how bright you want it?

I average 2-4mil but I know my game very well with over thousand plays .

#4154 4 years ago

If I’m trying my average is around 3.5 to 5 mil.

#4155 4 years ago

my high is 4.3 mil, but i'm stuck at around 1.8 for an average decent game. what do you guys shoot to boost your point total?

#4156 4 years ago

Good to know. thanks..

I focus on racking up chocolate bars and multipliers.Multiballs are abundant and easy pickings.
I was playing Wonka last night that started with Slugworth multiball with kid and gobstopper multiball stacked on top.Wow I was thinking afterwards what Keeper said at a live event about the crazy complicated software he had created for Wonka’

Quoted from Seatmandan:

Just got notification back from Jen at JJP that the electrical design of the Wonkatania topper does NOT allow for the control of brightness. As I suspected, they failed to incorporate a circuit that would do this. (SMD LEDs by themselves are either on or off) That kinda sucks. Looks like I will be replacing it with my Casino Slot machine topper. It is WAY too bright compared to the game.
Maybe someone can build a board that plugs in series to do this? Maybe the LEDOCD guy?
EDIT: added a picture of my game showing the difference in brightness[quoted image]

Ouch. And for that much scratch too. Hate to see it, but glad you let potential buyers know about the problem.

On ball one and 2 try get as many wonka bars as possible built up bc they carry over . Also bash gobstopper on ball 1 to get mb ready and raise your bonus x. If you succeed with getting 100-200 bars built up on ball or one or 2 you usually go on to have a good game starting 3-4 mb and a bunch of modes and getting a extra ball or 2 in the meantime.

Quoted from bigd1979:

Yep mines 9 mil or so on factory settings at 7-'7.2 angle and I'm usually getting 2-4 mil on regular basis. I've got alot of time on mine lol..

I would love to know what your flipper coil strength settings are at this angle.

#4161 4 years ago
Quoted from grandy:

Everything is on factory settings... only things changed is left outlane has a post in the lowest hole. I make all shots very easily and sometimes I think about turning them down a notch or 2 but I like how its playing .

#4162 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

In all seriousness, instead of permanently modding your game like that. Why not block off the outlanes to see progression if thats what you want to see?

I'm confused... I'm not permanently modding anything... The left side has a post and the right side has two different posts in slots designed to be adjusted up or down to either make it easier or harder for a ball to drain, it's part of the design of the game...???

Well just played 10 games or so and most were under a million lol.. it kicked my butt really bad just now.... however I did have a 5 million game and a 4 million game in there too. I swear the new code added some new lighting ? Anyone else notice any?

What about adding your own dimming switch?

I'm sure someone like lernmods cld do something fairly inexpensive?

#4166 4 years ago

How many wires is the topper? If there is only 2, I’m sure you could use something like this, would just need to know the voltage.

I’m thinking they used addressable leds and that dimmer won’t work. I could certainly supply a dimmer and the plug and play connection if someone wanted to try it. Send me a pm and Ill just need a little info.

Sorry for the confusion.

I think there's new code out. Like...1.33? Just saw it on Facebook.[quoted image]

Anyone able to find this on the JJP website? Im not seeing it..

Quoted from Rager170:

Actually I do see this.

Since I am getting my machine today, it looks like I need to first install 1.31 before going with 1.33?

Can anyone confirm this? This is what I see on JJP..

Willy Wonka Delta Upgrade 1.31 to 1.33 *NEW*
NOTE: MUST BE INSTALLED OVER 1.31 OR 1.32

Correct. If your current code is less than 1.31 you will need to download the 1.31 iso, then follow the instructions per jjp website. Once you are up to 1.31, then you can apply the 1.33 update.

If this is a new build it’s possible that 1.31 is loaded

#4177 4 years ago

Anyone have any issues with the Gobstopper having issues with spinning.
In test mode it functions fine, in game play when you hit the most secret machine it’s spins normally, the hole spins and opens and then the gobstopper only ticks around slowly and intermittently.

#4178 4 years ago

I'm not digging the new VUK settings after 1.33. Getting misfires again in the shooter lane, which cost me some crucial seconds with multiball timers earlier. Anyone else experiencing this? I think I'm gonna need to bump it back up.

Hey guys,

I am setting up my new machine and in the directions it mentions removing a film from the Radcals... I am not seeing this film and the last thing I want to do is start peeling off the decals...

Thoughts?

#4180 4 years ago

Now that Im looking at the differences between models, im assuming radcals are only for the CE.. Not sure why they put that in my LE..

#4181 4 years ago

Also.. Havent played yet but the camera in the game doesnt seem to be pointing at me, seems like it points off to the side.

Is this normal or can it be adjusted?

Is it taking your picture? Radicals were an option for all games so they add that disclaimer should your game be one of those.

I havent played it yet. Just something I noticed. Is it supposed to point directly at you or look like its pointing off center?

Also.. How the hell do you get the packing foam out from behind Wonkavision??!! lol

And the camera, looks like pictures I just looked at, so looks normal.

I thought the power supply was all that was connected on the LE topper. That’s why the dimming function on the CE didn’t work.

The actual camera taking your picture is behind the back glass at the bottom. If you look real careful you can see it.
The Oompa Loompa is a toy prop.

The game came with what looks like two extra pieces of mylar, just about half circles... Are these supposed to go somewhere? Sling area?

Don't own the game, but yes, I'd guess slings.

Don’t know how they wired the leds in the topper. I’m sending someone a wired plug and play dimmer to test. Will update when he tries it.

Be very careful taking the foam out behind the wonkavision. You can damage the connector if you pull it out to hard.

Id like to know this too. I saw those in my coinbox but havent installed them. I wasnt sure if it was optional, or an extra set for what is already installed, or if they are required to be installed.

Just an alternate set if you want to change yours out, or if yours broke.

You say change them out, but my machine doesnt have them by the slings from factory...

Ok a couple more questions then I will stop blowing up this thread. Thanks again for all the help.

I see that on the left drain area there is a place to put the post if you want. There are two holes. The upper hole is covered with a black cover but the lower hole is not and just shows the threads for where the post would install. Is the post supposed to go there and if its optional, should I put that extra black cover over those threads?

Secondly, the machine came with a Slugworth sticker. Looks like a magnet. Is this just for the coin door?

No post - easier left drains. Post in first open hole - a tad harder drains. Post in plugged hole - even harder to drain. If you use that hole, save the plug or put in the other hole. Doesn't matter.

Quoted from Rager170:

You can add them if you like.

LTG : )

#4200 4 years ago

The post will not fit in the uppermost hole

It only fits in the outlane hole

I have to buy another post for the right hole which restricts the outlane further
