Checked that too. Reseated the connectors and still nothing.

Did you Try reversing the cables for the topper and the light strip ?
Get out a multimeter and start checking to see if you're getting voltage. That will tell you right away if it's power or the LED strip.
It's a brand new lighting strip from Lermods, just arrived today. Multimeter shows connector has power. Guess I just got a bum strip?? Anything else I should be checking?
jjp sent me the tv camera and oompaa loompa.. my old camera broke at its base. is it simple to install?

Maybe lermods has the positive and negative reversed in the connector. Do you have a 12v source you can use to test the strip ?

There are other power sources you can use in Wonka also

I already offered to help you earlier. Just pm your address.

We're in business now. Thanks for all the help, much appreciated.
PXL_20210727_010427486 (resized).jpgPure Imagination my friends!! Pure Imagination. I was only there for a minute or two but I finally made it!

Sweeeet! I got there once also and I drained in under a minute- but what a feeling of accomplishment. Congrats!

Sorry, just saw this. What was the issue? You said the stock strip wasn’t working. I looked at your pics and the mod was wired correctly.
The lighting looks great, very even and not harsh. I hadn’t seen our new lighting system on wonka before. Ok if I use your pic on our website?
Quoted from Mrsiyufy:What did you do to stop your gobstopper floppy switch from getting stuck? That’s the only thing I haven’t been able to dial in.
Simple fix. Jam a tiny bit of e-tape into the switch body (where the arm comes out.). This firms it up, it stops flopping over the lip and you're good to go.
I did this to my CE and over 9000 plays later it has not recurred.

Congrats! I had 4 tickets last night and just needed to hit the final Wonkavator shot in phase 2! Oh so close!
Quoted from romulusx:Has the revised code made this game easier?
Yes Beta did. I went from 10 million GC on regular code to 30 million GC with Beta.
Quoted from Phbooms:Yes Beta did. I went from 10 million GC on regular code to 30 million GC with Beta.
That’s what I thought.I’m pretty sure no more then a handful of people would’ve ever reached final wizard mode with original.
Quoted from romulusx:Has the revised code made this game easier?
For me having only 2 levels on the wonkavator multiball changed it for me. I've been at 4 tickets many many times before the beta, but never crossed the line. Changing the difficulty of that one mode made it accessible to me. Of course the wife has made it twice before the beta so she will Lord it over me, but I was ecstatic last night to have finally made it. She was there next to me and taped all the 90 seconds of my glorious accomplishment.
Now to get there again and move up a few levels...Is there an end to pure imagination? Will I actually receive a Golden Ticket and keys to my own chocolate factory if I win? I think it's possible....

Absolutley. We got it all figured out, had nothing to do with the strip, works like a charm! Thanks for checking.
Is the beta software worth upgrading to for those that have it? Or is it better to wait for the official release?
My right flipper is weakening after ~30 minutes of play. I changed the coil sleeve, and that improved it a bit, but it still seems to do the same thing. Looks like it's the overheating problem. Does anyone know where I could get some flipper fans here in the UK? Anyone importing them?
Quoted from Captchaos:Is the beta update different from the 1.38v listed on JJP's web? If so, how do I get it? Thank
Beta is different than 1.38. First download 1.38 then opt in to the beta from the menu.

On Wonka I find the flippers get weak during multiballs when the magnets are doing their thing. I bumped the lower flippers +2 each. This makes them a -bit- too strong in normal play, but just strong enough during multiballs. I've not needed fans on Wonka though I do think Guns needs them.

I upgraded to beta 4 from 1.38 and found the difference from prior version to be massively positive.
Hi All, Im a new owner of a WW. Looking at a test report it says ball trough #5 and #4 are stuck open. Game seems to play fine until a ball is physically locked: when I put a ball in the elevator. When I do this, 2 balls are released into the plunger lane. Any idea how to fix this? I have re-seated the wires to the optical board of the ball trough, but that didnt do it. Thanks! PS, first JJP too, so feeling like a newbie...

Trough board failure - I'd contact support.

You can pull the transmitter board (closest to the front edge of the playfield and easy to remove) and reflow the solder on the pads (there are not many components on the transmitter board) if you are comfortable soldering. That should solve the problem. Some trough transmitter boards during the WW run had insufficient solder on the pads during manufacturing.

Thanks for the post!
So, I reached out to JPP support about this and spoke with Steve and he told me this exactly and it worked perfectly. As well, my input was only playing one channel and Steve helped fix that as the plug was in backwards. Such a great experience with JPP! Super thrilled to get a WW NIB from a friend such a beautiful machine - while I continue to wait for GnR...
Quoted from romulusx:Has the revised code made this game easier?
Yes but also much more balanced. All of the modes are worth paying attention to now, where previously I ignored most everything but the GT quests.
One of my favorite improvements on the 2.0 code is that when you're in Kid MB, there are now visual indicators on the mini-screen for which kids you've gotten and which ones you still need. (Double/Super also indicated.)

Thanks good to see you here.I finally there in the towel and ignored some of the worse on GnR threads. That shit is a downer all day long!

I had this too. If you know how to flow the solder on the back of the boards (on each sides), that fixed it for me.
My manual plunger is hitting the ball too high unless it is rotated to the perfect position. Is there a simple fix for that? Unscrew reposition? Thanks
Quoted from Dreadreaper:Unscrew reposition?
Three screws inside. Loosen them, lower the shooter rod assembly a little. Tighten the screws back up.

Do you have a WiFi dongle in your game ? Like this : https://www.microcenter.com/product/604932/tp-link-archer-t2u-nano-ac600-nano-wireless-usb-adapter
Is your modem settings not showing as an available network ?

Plug it into the USB cable by the cashbox.

If you want to use the bluetooth too, you'll need a dongle for that and a hub to plug both into the USB cable by the cashbox.

It was not the overheating problem! Dry joint on the middle lug, sparking away like bonfire night. Lessons I have learned: 1) Don't assume. 2) Investigate properly.
Oops!
Dry solder joint (resized).PNGQuoted from Beez:Do I reall need a dongle to do a usb update?
No. Dongle message comes up because your game doesn't have one.
USB stick should work. Try different USB sticks, 8GB to 16GB. Follow instructions carefully. You need to do a Full Install of 1.38. Delta won't work from 1.32.
