Quoted from f3honda4me:

Anyone received an SE yet? Wonka code updated yet?

Nothing has shipped officially, but I believe JJP may post an update on production in the next few days.

We are awaiting the arrival of the JJP traditional cartwheel video ...

If SE's are on the line as was rumored, then there would have been some that shipped by now. Unless they are making them and just piling them up on the side of the warehouse.

I’m more then likely wrong but doesn’t JJP typically ship containers of the games to Europe First so the land for release in both countries at the same time? It’s a long boat ride to Europe.

I'm about 90% sure I'm about to return my Golden Ticket for now. I had built up the hype in my head, and initially reserved a CE. Downgraded it to an LE after some game play videos, and now I"m content to let my deposit ride until 'G n F'n R' drops.

With that being said, I can definitely see myself buying one later on, once the NIB shine wears off for someone.

I did the exact same, except I picked/picking up a Deadpool LE and ACNC instead.

I sold my Deadpool PRo to fund Wonka. Excellent game and would be a keeper if I had infinite room/funds. Daughter found DP scary (she's 4 so it's reasonable). Candy is more friendly. Can't wait for my standard Wonka.

If I had the funds....I'd have them all.
That's cool that your daughter plays. I'm sure she'll love some Wonka.

Anyone? Crickets? Supposedly in production for 2 weeks now?

I backed out on mine as well because I found a Pirates LE, and oh boy what a game it is!!

What’s the question?
Yes they’re producing standard wonkas right now.

Pintastic

Ah yes excellent point! Makes sense then. I sense a flood of Wonka's about to be unleashed upon the world.

Wait, not sure if I am reading this wrong or what.
Is it suggested the cartwheel will come at Pintastic?

That would be pretty awesome if it does.

#518 4 years ago

Everyone needs to stop encouraging Pat Lawlor to do a cartwheel. If he breaks a hip, I'm gonna have to learn to like Steve Ritchie games...

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

Actually, a good 16 years BEFORE Wonka, Dahl had already said snozzberries were a sweet, juicy red fruit that grows in orchards in Some Time Never: A Fable for Supermen. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dalh describes the wallpaper as having pictures of fruit on it. And we've all seen the movie. No penises were among the fruits on the wall. LOL! Dahl may have decided to have some fun with his fans some 15 years AFTER Wonka, but that doesn't mean it was his intent all along.
http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2017/10/whats-a-snozzberry/

I'm hooked on this movie for life so I am going to read the original books. Slight Digression.

#520 4 years ago

... Sorry again. for the digression. I can't think straight about wonka.

I hope to have a game in a few days, crossing my fingers, and can then test fit and function for our mods. If you’ve pre-bought mods from others, well, that’s great. But for those who have been waiting, I think you will be nicely surprised as we (and our collaborator) have a number of interactive mods in development to fill some spaces on the SE that I hope will also work for LE and CE owners. Stay tuned! Nothing will be released or revealed until I have the game and it’s installed and working.

Looks like machines are being received. Everyone sort of starting their own threads though vs posting in club forum. New code it sounds like too. I’d post pics but I don’t have one.

I only started a new thread to post new photos. I figured people might want to see new, final shots of the playfield, possible design changes, etc.

(And honestly, I feel like this game needs some bluster to pump wind into it's sails. It's clearly faded off in the past month, hence a new thread maybe popping it back into the forefront.)

Just wanted to post a video and a couple of pics of the fun custom we built. I was contacted by a client who has become a good friend of mine about making him a Willy Wonka topper. He specifically wanted to concentrate on the pinwheel design. So I came up with a negative cut rear pinwheel and used color changing lights to keep that festive feel. I also decided to frame it to match the scheme of the machine and hopefully make It blend well. I really wanted avoid the obvious “mountain of candy”stuck all over and instead went with the cleaner look to emphasize the unique pinwheel background.
