WW Ramp won't go down

I'm trying to determine why my ramp won't go down on my WW. I ran the coil test and I can hear a noise but it won't go down. Sometimes if I manually play with the lever it goes down when I start a new game but not anymore. Does this mean the coil needs to be replaced or is it something else with the mechanics of the ramp?

Any thoughts out there please?

Did you look under the game? Something not connected right, sounds mechanical, not electrical.

Yes, I can't see anything that isn't connected?

Have you looked at the mechanism under the playfield? Something broken or binding under there? Coil good?

Edit: already asked, I was too slow.

Edit2: Check the lift crank lock as described on page 67 in your manual?

TY, yes I did look for anything not connected. I do not know how to tell if the coil is good or not? I will do a search for how to test if a coil is good or not in this forum?

Your coil should be an AE-26-1500, resistance 13.8 ohms. When disconnected, you should be able to slide the plunger smoothly through the coil sleeve.

It's possible your coil has burnt up and is locked in the up position but it should have blown a fuse if that happened. More likely something is binding under there. I would raise the playfield (game off) and try to move the ramp up and down CAREFULLY by hand. Try to figure out exactly how the mechanism should work. Use the diagram on page 67 of your manual to help you.
