I have a nice JP for trade. It's not collectors quality, but it's definitely not a beater.

Good: Fully functional Trex
Brand new PinballLife DMD.
Added two spotlights that really brighten up the playfield
No corrosion on board
New Control Room switch
No errors
Cliffy's on all three scoops

Bad: One broken plastic above Control Room
Typical scoop wear that's covered up by Cliffy's
Bottom right translite slightly peeling
No topperimage-214.jpgimage-214.jpgimage-287.jpgimage-287.jpgimage-761.jpgimage-761.jpgimage-972.jpgimage-972.jpgimage-632.jpgimage-632.jpgimage-607.jpgimage-607.jpgimage-774.jpgimage-774.jpgimage-412.jpgimage-412.jpgimage-663.jpgimage-663.jpgimage-917.jpgimage-917.jpgimage-848.jpgimage-848.jpgimage-333.jpgimage-333.jpgimage-368.jpgimage-368.jpg

I've tried to take plenty of pictures of the defects. I removed the Control Room Cliffy to show what tr wear looks lie underneath.

I would have made the trade a month ago. Then I sold my SW. Timing is everything. Sigh...

#3 10 years ago

I seem to have a knack for bad timing

Yeah, you never want to get behind me in a supermarket line! It is almost a sure thing there will be some problem just ahead of me that will tie up the register for ten minutes.

1. where are you located?

2. would you be interested in selling your JP outright?

Thanks,

I'm near St. Louis. I'm not looking to sell. Just wanting to try out something new.

you might want to try the game out at someones house before you get rid of an awesome game like JP.

I've played SW on location and really enjoy it. I like JP but am ready for a change. Also, it's a way to keep my daughter happy. JP is her favorite, but she might like SW even more. However, I think I'm going to change this topic to a generic WTT for another pin.

have you played it with the new software? Because with the old software, SW gets old, really fast. I had one for years, and sold it because it's a one trick pony. JP has more game for the money.

I haven't tried the new code. Does it add to the longevity?

#11 10 years ago

yes, greatly. It's not a one trick pony anymore.

Bumpity bump

The sound of silence....

I'll try one more time then I'll wait a week or so.

Peace

Ok. Fine. Something about a squeaky wheel and grease. Surely someone is ready for a change.

#15 10 years ago

It's all about timing!!!

#16 10 years ago

Right on. I've actually been playing it more than my DM the last few days. I guess some more time with JP isn't a bad thing at all. It does have some satisfying shots.

I finally got around to fiddling with the trex mechanism. The left microswitch wasn't bent to the angle specified in the manual. I didn't think it could be something that simple; however, I've been playing all day with left/right on and she's had zero troubles finding center. I even took the glass off and and cheated to feed her 10 times and she found center for every ball fed.

I've put a lot of time on it today and just had an awesome game. Double chaos with two victory laps AND System Failure in the same game! That doesn't happen often for me. It really is a great game!

I put some color LED's in the hard to reach GI. I still like the look of incandescent on this particular machine, so most GI is still incandescent. The spots have 4 smd warm white though. I had a snow day (I'm a teacher) so I've been playing all day. The trex is still finding center every time.

I'm really looking to trade, but of I had to put a price on it I'd start at $2,300.

JP seemed to be a hot game a short while ago, along with a lot of others, but seems to have cooled as of late.
Everybody wanting a "super" bargain now, I guess.
Good luck with the sale.

#22 10 years ago

Yes everything has cooled off a bit, it could not gone on forever. Ed
