Well done! I can't wait to get this ultimate mod installed on my Tron when it becomes available. Pretty cool stuff.

Went to the NW Pinball / Arcade show and played a few games on the Tron with Eli's kit and it's simply awesome. I have the EL wire on mine right now and I that's pretty cool, but boy oh boy is Eli's kit a thing of beauty. Can't wait to get it!
Is the software for the ramp lighting up on github or somewhere similar? I'd love to take a look at it...
so any ETA on these? really would love to put them in my Tron Pro
I can help look at code too if you want (looks like you are using an arduino?)

+1 I played Tron at NW pinball show when I saw the machine I thought it was an LE
Killer Mod!

That was my Tron at the show. Definitely a super cool mod, even my 4 year old said "Wow Dad!" when he saw it!
Quoted from flecom:When can I get one!!!
that's the $100,000 question!
as you can read in the thread code is all done. just waiting for production ready units to ship
I am ok with a box of parts, I can figure it out
also is the board going to have any overhead on the RGB lines? I would like to put some RGB Led strips elsewhere and it would be cool to be able to drive them from the same board so they are in sync...
if not can I can make a secondary driver board and borrow the lines from the uc i suppose
I have been following this thread for months now. I broke down as I really wanted my ramps lit and went for the EL wire kit which is making me happy for now. Yet I just watched the video posted on page 21 of this thread and Eli's kit is just over the top AWESOME
Put me on the list !!
When the kit is available I will be stripping off my EL wire and replacing it with this kit. Maybe I can reuse the EL wire on one of my other pins. We will see, but I REALLY want this kit form my TRON.
Please let me know when they are available for sale
Sorry, been a bit busy on the game grid.
ETA is looking pretty good for sometime in July.
There isn't enough power to drive under cabinet lighting off the mod, you'll have to chain the PWM signals to a second set of drivers if you want to do that.
The final boards aren't completely Arduino compatible and I hope that there will be enough built-in customization to keep people from needing to hack the code (to keep things sane for support as much as anything) but definitely email me if there's something you need to do after release.
As always, thanks for your patience.
End Of Line

Interesting Eli, its great to hear you are in the home stretch with the production units! It will be your one year anniversary ( july 8 ) when we received the first prototype. You created something amazing and refined in this time.
With regards to the arduino, since we are basically running a stable release code now, will all of the features we've worked on migrate over to the the new production kits?

Eli, is there a list I should be on to get this setup, our are you making these as orders are placed?
This thread is the "list", I'll contact everyone who has posted or PMed me.

All the logic from the current Teensy version is going right into the final code with the addition of the customization stuff and some debug / sanity testing at boot.
Just want to point out that even though I sold my Tron, I'm still interested. Like several other doofuses that have made this particular mistake, I will likely be picking one back up in a while, and I don't want to have to rely on finding a Tron that already has it installed.

That's awesome Eli, nice to see this thing coming together and hit the final stages!
Been waiting patiently for this, looking forward to it (couldn't remember when I first posted in this thread, took a look back and it was way back on page 6!).
Thats great news. Its been a long road, but well worth it i'm sure.
Payment is there whenever this thing is ready, Eli. Thanks again for your work (and everyone elses)
Quoted from hoby1:Hey Eli
You can take me off the list as I own one of your protos
Thanks for keeping the thread interesting.
I tried to find it on the various pages... but what is the pricing going to be on this?
(I'm pretty sure I'm in, regardless... just curious.)
(Is there a way to search within a thread?)
Thanks.
Here you go...
Quoted from herg:The developer kits were $400. Eli says similar pricing for the production ones.
Feel silly doing this, as I did already ask to be put on the "list" on the early pages..
but just in case...
Put me on that list also. =)
Totally still interested.
