Parliaments

Apparently Hawkmoon took issue with me smoking Parliaments back in the 70s
I also smoked Chesterfield Kings non filters.
That and $10 three finger bags of mexican dirt weed.

Quoted from romulusx:

Boston Foghat Reo Styx and others three at a time for $7.50 Good times

Probably the best multi act concert lineup I can remember was
at the Cow Palace in S.F. (Daly City) (~ late 70s) with
Head East opened, then Sammy Hagar (his Red period after he left Montrose and prior to Van Halen),
J. Geils Band (prior to their big commercial success with Freeze Frame/Centerfold)
and finally Ted Nugent at his badass self heights.

Quoted from robotronjohn:

One of the taglines i remember in 1975 about the movie Tommy was... Your senses will never be the same

That is probably due to Ann Margret rolling around a tidal wave of baked beans coming out of the TV.

Yeah
What was the director Ken Russell smoking?

Quoted from romulusx:

interest rates were 18%

Indirectly those rates are responsible for the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas,
as they allowed Tim to
sell his interest in the arcades in Michigan and invest in 30 yrs CDs at 18%
and move to Vegas and eventually open the PHoF.

Quoted from romulusx:

$7.50 to see

Now it costs a minimum of $50-75 to see one over-rated act (if you are lucky also a sh*tty opening act).
Back in the 70s there were dozens of shows available near metro areas every month passing thru
on a regular basis, with 3-4 great rockin acts on the lineup.
Whatever happened to all those "Days on the Green" in bay area.
