Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

Okay... I'm back at work and listening to the Tommy Soundtrack while working... I repeat my original question... what were you guys smoking in the 70s?
I have not seen the movie, and don't know if I want to now. Some of the music is catchy, but some of this is bizarre. I shudder in terror thinking about how this song might be portrayed in the movie (no inappropriate images in clip):

The song is called "Fiddle About" and unless I am mistaken it is a song... about a kid getting raped by his uncle. The only musical I can think of with subject matter approaching this is from the South Park movie...
I just... I go back to my original question.

Dude, you need to relax.

Tommy has sold literally
Millions of copies. Everybody knows about tommy.

It’s not a “soundtrack” it’s an album. The movie was made 6 years later and his its own “soundtrack” which is interesting if you want to hear jack Nicholson sing but generally of lower quality than the 1969 album.

You are taking one brief song completely out of context. Tommy is meant to be listened to from front to back, not one song at a time out of order in between commercials for esurance on YouTube.

Your discovery of an all time rock classic album that literally everybody but you knows about already is cute, but also kind of silly considering how famous and seminal the album is. No hyperbole it’s one of the most famous rock albums of all time, it’s not some cult classic nobody has ever heard of.

It’s charming that you think it’s “bizarre” but doesn’t seem like you are even attempting to take it seriously.

Do your homework and report back. I have a feeling you’ll really get a kick out of “uncle Ernie” and “acid queen.
