I have room for one machine right now and I'd be happy to find any one from the following list. I'd like to find them locally and avoid having to ship. Looking for good solid player's machines or nicer.

* Most Wanted*
Bad Cats
Diner
Elvira and the Party Monsters
Fire! (would love a Champagne edition but would settle for standard)
Lord of the Rings
Scared Stiff
Tales of the Arabian Nights
White Water

* Would Also Consider *
Cyclone
Fish Tales
Flintstones
Funhouse
Space Shuttle
Spider-Man
Theatre of Magic
Late 1970s Gottlieb card-themed pins

Same deal but I'm looking for a Bally Vector... Good luck, OP!

#3 6 years ago

Same deal too, looking for a Scared Stiff. Thanks!

Good luck. Denver has been a wasteland these last few months.

#5 6 years ago

you could look into pinball jones in fort Collins. seems they always have machines for sale. they do have a website as well. I know most of their machines need some work, so you could probably get a reasonable price if they have what you want.

I don't think that's the part you can count on.

Judging by the crickets in my inbox, you seem to be correct.

How nice of a Space Shuttle are you looking for?

Thought I would give this one more bump. I'm hoping to find one machine from this list locally.

#14 6 years ago

I have a nice space shuttle coming to me soon. PM me.

PM sent!

I thought I found a nice Bad Cats but the deal fell through. Still looking for one of the pins on the list, and hoping to find it locally.

Still looking for one of the games on the list. In a colossal flash of wishful thinking I have added Diner and TOTAN to the list.

I finally sold my Gottlieb EM this morning so I am more motivated than ever to find one of the machines on the above list. I have revamped the list a little. I have a line on a couple of these from out of town that would require shipping, but I would really prefer to find something locally.

#19 6 years ago

The thing is, everyone in Denver is looking for those games. IMO, you might just have to wait it out with the rest of us.

OP - congrats on the sale of your EM.

I just got a Consignment Cyclone in, Not sure what the customer wants for it yet though.

I would guess $2200

Apparently so. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes or jump the line. Right now I have zero pinball machines and a pile of cash and didn't see any harm in asking if something was available. I'm trying to find something that would appeal to me (the pinball enthusiast) and my wife (the pinball not-so-enthusiast) which is why my list is somewhat narrow. I do realize they are on many people's most-wanted lists, and finding one of those locally with everyone else looking for the same games is probably wishful thinking on my part.

JJ I have been wanting to come into your shop and take look around but circumstances have prevented me from doing so. Hopefully soon.

Right now I have ... a pile of cash

How much cash? I can meet you in a dark alley tonight and sell you a pin.

#24 6 years ago

Man, if you have a pile of cash, walk into Game Exchange and buy away. You can have any pin on your list right now. The key is that you want them at collector prices, and for that you might have to get in line

power ball can help with that

I apologize if I sounded ostentatious with that "pile of cash" remark. I took a bunch of money out of my checking account before the Pinball Showdown thinking if I found something to purchase I wanted to be ready, but came up empty. Unfortunately my Internet-only bank makes it easy to take cash out but a PITA to put cash back. So my pinball-buying funds are tied up in a literal pile of cash right now. That's one of the primary reasons I'm trying to find something local.

As far as I am aware, Game Exchange doesn't have any of the pins on my wanted list (except for that Cyclone JJ mentioned earlier, which I may go look at).

$2200 for a cyclone?! I just sold one In SLC for $1,500 that was very nice....Which is a fair market price. Cyclone is a cool machine but if you pay $2200 for it the terrorists win

there is s guy here in SLC that has a few ...I also know of a guy in IDAHO that is selling a DM for $1,500 if you want to drive a bit. there is a guy in PC Utah that just posted 9 games all super high prices for really nice CQ

so If you want to pay too much here you go

Chinatown: $1600
- Cirqus Voltaire (home use only): $8900
- Dracula: $2800
- Fathom (superb condition): $3700
- Lord of the Rings: $5300
- Medusa: $2850
- Pinball Magic: $3400
- Pirates of the Caribbean (home use only): $6850
- Xenon: $1900

Did you pay $1,500 from a retail shop or a collector? JJ is a retailer, you're not going to get collector prices from him.

You're fine, hence the smiley. The thing about your list, most of it is hard to find stuff because they are A titles, or hard to find stuff because they are obscure and on the low production side.

At the end of the day, every game in the country is $425 away. The last few games I bit the bullet and just shipped them in.

Are you out there meeting collectors, participating in tourneys, just being a part of the local scene? The last 2 games I bought never hit Craigslist, they were offered to me by friends at very reasonable prices.

What are you doing up at 3 in the morning offering up your sage-like advise Jalpert?

To the OP, if I can ever find someone to sell me a super nice or collectors quality Funhouse which I have been looking for awhile now with no great luck, my "players" condition one will be available.
