I think HS2 is a good choice for a first machine, and works OK in a single machine setup if you're just getting started. The light show is awesome, and getting the freeway loops going is very satisfying.

I've heard people say it's a useless toy, when in fact it is the only way to get any jackpots, red line mania, or super jackpots. It's use is required to get a high score.
