The plan is to build a home bar using sections of old pinball cabinets. Doesn't matter if the cabinets are water damaged, separating, cracked, faded, etc. As long as there is enough paint still left so that machine could be recognized. Prefer early SS stenciled cabinets. Would need at least 8-9 cabinets to make it happen. The more the better as I have other project ideas too. Hopefully I can pickup several at one location to save on gas. Don't really know what money to offer. Can anyone on here help me out?

Forgot to mention. Don't worry. I would never hack up a nice cabinet.

Contact one of the high volume guys like Todd at TNT Amusements...Save a few from his roof

If you come north sometime, I think I have more than a couple pin and vid cab sides in my barn.

Ya know, playfields beyond repair(ie worn, etc) would make great wall hangings, lights or no lights. So that would make pins 100% recyclable, with your post.

Got a Sinbad backbox, yours for the taking

Thanks guys for the offers. I wish I lived closer. TNT might be possible. I really can't wait to start on this project. Just bought the kegerator last weekend for it too. Also just found out that a cool micro brewery is literally located a few hundred yards from my house. Lived here one year now and never knew it was there. Talk about fresh beer for the home bar. If there were any quantity of cabinets around NC I would jump on em.

I wish you were closer to Central PA. I have 5 to 10 cabinets I'll be giving away or trashing shortly plus a couple nicer cabinets I'll be selling for $50 to $100 depending on what I leave on them.

Anyone in central PA area that wants cabinets for any type of project I normally take everything off them right down to the wood they put them out for trash but I would be more than happy to give them away.

If you want side rails, coin door, playfield glass, lock bar, etc. cabinets would be priced accordingly but the empty wooden boxes are basically free if anyone can use some.

Thanks for offers. Not sure what kind of money. Would love to buy in some kind of volume but not outside of Carolinas or maybe VA.

Still not having any luck with multiple cabinets at one location within driving distance.

You should talk to Lloyd at Coin Op Warehouse. He's in upstate VA, but buys all over the southeast and may know someone near you that has stuff, or he may have some stuff sitting he wants to move.

Also see if anyone like Phoenixarcade has any seconds or partial cabinet artwork sets that you could use to "fake" it.

Here is what I use old playfields for. On my ceiling in the gameroom. Good luck in your search for cabinets.image.jpgimage.jpgimage-636.jpgimage-636.jpg

Those playfields look fantastic up there. Never thought about using new artwork seconds. I'll look into that.

    I'll call Lloyd too.

there's a bar in chicago called "simone's" that has a lot of old pinball machines incorporated into the interior design. the dude that opened it has a salvage business and designs all his bars/restaurants with repurposed materials. they did backlit inserts on the wall and it looks awesome. here is the yelp page that has some images: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/simones-bar-chicago?select=43Bh6I0VJ3CpSCI5ppMpsg#MGt7xMrRGzG-Rk9U07f6jw

It might be worth stenciling your own pcs. of plywood to the games you like who would know the money you save on shipping and or gas would help pay for supplies.
