Quoted from Jetzxi:So who found these marks?
Mine has some little dimples there. I have seen a flat gold one that had them too. It may have been a repro but looked original. i really don't know. Maybe that's why these were 80 instead of 100
That's sink caused by thicker plastic at where the attachment posts are versus the thickness of the common wall.
Quite normal in injection molded parts where the condition is present.
I've got two on the way. I'll let you guys know if mine have those same dimples.
I prefer the shine finish over the original. It looks great.
Quoted from LilRocky:Just got mine in today. Comparison pictures between the original and the repro.
yeah, see. dimples on the original too. the shiny gold just accents it. I don't care on mine. the shiny gold eagle more than makes up for it.
I like the new one much better!
From what I understand, these are being made from the original molds. I'm guessing Gene owns them. You can see the "dimples" in the original bird. I'm guessing they got exaggerated a bit in the new run, due to different materials and technique.
The new one looks much better! What is the mounting like for these? I don't know if they ship with the IPB one or I'll have to source/hack one myself.

Sorry, I was giving Mike a hard time. He said he found them when truly it was his wife that noticed them.
Quoted from mikehay1:Hey, at least I have the wife looking at pinball machines.

Sorry Mike, I thought you were poking fun at the fact that mine does not enjoy playing.
Quoted from Soapman:I would not sweat the dimples. I have a solid resin one and it has dimples. From what I know this is the one they took the mold from. I could be wrong but that is what I have found out. It is heavy and soild.
I know I need to dust
Actually, The resin mold was taken from one like these Illinois pinball reproductions. Gene owns the original Williams mold. The resin mad amusements topper is a recast.

Hopefully it's not in that moldy warehouse thats been mentioned lately!
