Sega, 1997Looking for a JD and SST in nice condition that has been recently shopped out and taken care of. Doesn't need to be fully restored by any means, but as these will be my first two pins, I want something that likely won't cause me any issues and looks nice as I learn more about this great hobby.

I've found both to be problematic more than the average machine. JD in fact is one of the most problematic pinball machines out there. But... they all are, and just like with cars of the same model, some have issues, and some don't.
If you are getting into this hobby, then you are about to become a pinball tech, whether you like it or not (I do not like it, but it's just how it is).
Good luck, but are great machines.
I have had two JD's and once dialed in, they have both been great...
I was hoping to pick up both JD and SST for 3200-3400. Pictures would be great!
Looks in pretty good shape. Any display or battery leakage issues? Also, has the deadworld mod been completed on this pin? I'm told these are questions I should be asking... 
Where are you at in price?
And...most importantly...what would shipping run since I don't think you're up for a road trip to deliver....lol.

There are no problems with the display or battery leakage. The dead world mod works perfectly and it comes with the correct rom. Shipping would probably be between $250 and $400. I have had a pin shipped from Texas and it ran me around $290. Not sure what I would be looking to get for the machine because I am also looking to possibly trade it, but trying to work within your budget is not entirely out of the question either.
I know, I know...but from the ones I've played and the budget I've set for myself, it seems to be my best option, especially if I want to get 2 pins this year. I would love to eventually have what you have setup, but I need to be budget conscious at the same time.
But...I do appreciate and respect your advice...

Agreed. Most folks don't need to spend tons of time either...just a wee bit of patience and WHAM! Fun time!
So...while I'm waiting on the response for the JD, any leads on a SST that someone is aware of?
