If you are worried about the bubble bursting on Big Bang Bar due to PPS's recent acquisition of Illinois Pinball, I can be your knight in shining armor!!

I have a standing offer of $10,000 for an IPB Big Bang Bar. The game must be in good working shape. Some dings or blemishes are acceptable.

This is not a joke post. I am a buyer at $10,000. I know they have been selling for $18,000+, but $10,000 is the amount I am willing to spend. I am open to going higher for the right game.

Depending on your location, I may need to have the game shipped.

I am located in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Texas area.

Please send me a PM if you have one you are looking to sell.

One adage I live by ....

"If you don't ask ... You don't get..."

So good on ya!

If you get a few offers, I'll take one too.

They've been listed at $18,000+ but have any actually traded hands at those prices? I think I heard of one, maybe two trading hands but the final price was not listed. If I had been in on the original $4500 price I'd list mine for $20K too. Duh.

That said, I'd love to own the game. It's a long drive to Flippers in Grandy.

and holy crap, I just looked up and rotordave has 98 games! If I ever find myself in NZ I'm looking you up man!

It's probably more than that now...

#11 9 years ago

We all want one for 10k but we all won't find one for that price only if they remake them again

Yeah, I'm too embarrassed to add them all to my list lol

It's been over 100 for quite some time now. What a shambles.

The last one I KNOW for sure the amount it sold for, traded hands at $13k.

An actual client of mine, I've played and serviced the game.

#14 9 years ago

One sold in Australia just recently for 24.5k it lasted only a day or 2 before it was sold

#15 9 years ago

Yes true good luck finding one for 10 k u will need it unless they remake them then the price will go down just like it did with MM

#16 9 years ago

It's not even a good game lol. That's the funniest part about the insanely bloated prices. I was tired of it after just a few plays.

#17 9 years ago

If they remake this the bottom will fall out of the value of these. Where is my popcorn.

#18 9 years ago

Sold one for 22k last year

#19 9 years ago

By remaking games like BBB,MM, it will only raise the price of B & C titles like CFTBL, JM, CP, DM, JD etc..

I'm all for a BBB remake, could do with a spare set of cab decals! Glad I didn't win the ones on eBay that went for $950!

#20 9 years ago

Predator is the new BBB

So basically from reported sales, whomever sells it to him for 10k could be out anywhere from 3k (vid's sale of 13k) to 12k (llvjr sale of 22k).

Good luck.

Another way to look at it ... if they bought it for $4,500, they are making $5,500.

It's all about perspective.

Yea but they all know what they are going for so they won't sell it for that price unless they remake them then they might

Get ready for teekee coming in and correcting you...."It's a Capcom BBB, not an IPB BBB!"

#28 9 years ago

Will PPS adapt BBB to Williams coils etc, what would the price of a BBB be!? Will it be an expensive inital cost to get parts from existing suppliers as they are different ig you get my meaning!

What's people's price point! Would it be 6k or 8k, maybe even 10k?

#29 9 years ago

Not 10k pass

It is a decent game and def a great looker, but I do wonder if it will get knocked down a little from it's high horse if it became less rare and more people got around it. I haven't played it in a long time and I don;t see it getting a ton of play around me. Just my observation though.

Gene sold them NIB for $4500 back in 2007, so most people would make a handsome profit selling it at $13k

I don't follow this logic? How does remaking BBB and MM raise the prices of pins like JM, CP, DM, JD etc?

So you think most of them kept them and never cashed in?

Yes, I'd say the majority of the people I've talked to who claimed to have bought from Gene, still have the game.

80% of owners say they would Never sell it.

What to place a bet?

#36 9 years ago

Complaining about the value is what separates someone from the community. We're in this as a hobby, not as an investment.

Quoted from Whysnow:

I'm sure they'll get built at some point...I'm just sayin - let's not compare it to BBB yet. They haven't been built and no one really knows if it's going to be any good or desirable. Rare is one thing, desirable is another. I have a rare Caribbean Cruise...no one cares lol Lot of people shittalking BBB's gameplay lately...but it's a killer game & fun - it wouldn't go for big bucks if it was a rare piece of crap.

#38 9 years ago

Oh, I don't think it will be the next most amazing thing.

I was just making a joke that with Predator we know it will actually never be remade. There is pretty much no B/W/Stern/Capcom game we can say that for.

Also, I care about Caribbean cruise

#39 9 years ago
Quoted from RobT:

If you look at the Pinside map, how many have got, and how many want, more people want IJ than MM.

How Many B titles have been sacrificed to save A titles board sets etc. how many of the 12,000 IJs are left. People will have more access to A titles and will want the B titles that PPS probably won't make.

Over here we are seeing B titles raise in value.

There was a fine example at the TPF auction that passed on a 17k offer.

Personally, I would pay good money for it. I got to play 15 or so games at TPF 2013 and it was one of the few modern games that I immediately liked. (Along with CC and TOTAN)

Quoted from Pinhead1982:

I could understand logic if we were talking about how A-titles rising in values makes the B games go up. Look at SS, AFM, WH20 for examples - they went through the roof - and now games like DM, JD, BSD, and JP as a couple examples have jumped significantly. Back in 2012, DM was $1200 - $1600. I personally passed on a solid working example at $1200.

"Oh my, the game I wanted so badly has gone from $3400 to over $5000....guess I'll settle for BSD..." and look at the prices for that game recently. Those who don't have crazy money to spend will go for the lesser titles, and then those start climbing. Not really a shocker.

All this talk about "X game has recently been discovered to be a good, deep, fun game...!!" Well, yeah, when people can't afford A-title prices for a game they could have afforded last year (looking at you, Scared Stiff) , of course they're going to hunt for good games in titles they used to not be so focused on .

Remaking a game though...? Not following it.

Are you selling thumbs down on the open market or just collecting them?

#44 9 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

That is not the point, he is trying to buy one for $10,000 not $13,000, so whomever sells one for 10k would have to be super nice to give a $3000 below market discount. Last year Rick at BAA told me he was offered 24k for his and had multiple offers of over 20k and did not sell his.

If you're going to use the make a handsome profit point, why not just offer $5200 and say 100 bucks a year is a nice profit? If leaving money on the table is no problem, they might as well lose another 5,000 and still claim they got more than they bought it for.

I wish the OP all the luck in the world finding one at a discount price, and it does not hurt to try. I just don't know what would motivate anyone to give a $3000 - $12,000 discount. I would think if they read Pinside, and new enough to even order from Gene when they were made, they would know that $10,000 is a lot less than they could sell it for.

I do. That is a fun game and a cool conversation piece. It can be functional too if you need a place to eat dinner or hold a coffee table book or two.

It's only a "discount" if someone has the means and the want to offer more.

There was a guy selling a MM NIB for $35k last year in OH. He never sold it.

Now this year he is trying to get $30K.

He might say that he is offering a $5,000 "discount", but an average person will just assume he was asking too much last year.

He paid $29K for it, but may have missed the boat to boat to even get his money back out of it with the MMr only months away.

#47 9 years ago

This post seems to have generated what is was meant for : controversy.
Nothing more... nothing less.....

Difference with that analogy is nobody has sold a NIB MM for that price. So the MM owner is fishing for a price.

You posted one sold for $13,000 and there are countless other recent sales to help gauge a price. So there are documented sales on what they could sell for.

So my point still stands why somebody would be willing to give a stranger such a steep discount unless money meant nothing to them, or they are ignorant what a BBB is worth based on recent prior sales.

For the record- I do not own a BBB

Your Princess Dianna Benie Baby you bought for $6, it's value at one point went up to $2000, but today at the doll shop they are selling for $40, but the most you personally seem to be able to get out of anybody is $15.

What is the actual value of the doll?

Is it the retail value $40?

Is it the best you can personally get $15?

=

Are you giving anybody a "discount' if you sold it for $15?
