Gottlieb's LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!

Always been interested in owning this pin! Seems like an innovative and challenging game. Theme also is right up my alley.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about - check out the video:

Would love to buy one in top-notch/CQ quality if they even exist like that anymore!

Anyway, just throwing this out there in hopes of a bite. Thanks!

#2 10 years ago

It is a fun game. Good luck!

#3 10 years ago

Love mine! Make sure you have the topper if you buy one as it's used in several modes.

#4 10 years ago

Awesome game, I sold mine, so I had to replace it. Try to get the spot light topper. If it dosent have it, you can use that point for negotiation. good luck, ron k

#5 10 years ago

Can you buy the topper separately? I mean, do they still exist? Pretty much every one I see is missing it.

#6 10 years ago

No you can not, that's why I say to watch for them. My first game didn't have one, so I didn't realize how it plays in to the gameplay. Its totally cool without. Especialy if you haven't had one with. seriously, don't let me bogart the game for you.
good luck, kruzman

I have one and love it...had to pay up to get it, but its worth it...

A very innovative pin... Bullet proof operating system, and just a ton of fun..

they don't come up very often....

Good luck with the hunt....

I've always been intrigued by this title as well, much for the same reason as you IndianaPwns. I think one was for sale up in Southwest Virginia about 6 months ago...kind of hate I didn't act on it in retrospect...

#9 10 years ago

Don't play the game in the dark if you don't have the topper...

#10 10 years ago

Glad to hear you are still enjoying it spanks. Would have stayed at my place a lot longer if it wasn't so tall.

#11 10 years ago

I've thought of letting it go a time or two, but the 80's porno music, the light show, and just the overall game keeps it in the collection.

Bump! Still interested!

They don't surface very often.
I've been trying to get a local friend to trade his to me for a couple of years.
Good Luck with the search.

Awesome! Thanks Chris!

$1350 seems a bit high - even if it's a higher end players machine. What do you guys think is a fair price?

#17 9 years ago

gottlieb system 3 rock solid pin. very nice.

With the topper, yes.

How many others have you seen pop up three or so hours away from you in the last year? If you really want one you might want to grab it while you can. There are two or three local Atlanta guys still kicking themselves for not buying mine three years ago.

#20 9 years ago

when it is a game you want, and they don't come up often...and if you have the money, buy it. Personally, I don't care what others think a game is worth, because they don't share my feeling for the title. Unless you are looking to flip and you want to know if you can make money.
I have been buying pins for over 30 years, and that is just free advice.
Titles are no longer available like they were when routers were adding to the collector pool constantly. Now most everything is comfortably in a collection, and it is harder to find if it is a particular title you are searching for. Next year they may be selling for 2200 if you can find one, and you will kick your self for not buying it because people you don't know, that live in different areas, gave you advice. I know that feeling very well, and no longer ask. If I can afford it and I want it, I buy it.
good luck, ron

Thanks guys!

I drove to Virginia two Saturdays ago and loaded the sucker up! It's in pretty darn good shape too!

Funny enough, it turns out it was reconditioned by TNT Amusements themselves. For 1989 it's a pretty damn deep game - I'd say about as deep, or maybe a little bit deeper, than a Whirlwind or one of the early 90's Williams System 11.

The game has some intensely satisfying shots (Upper Right Flipper & the Loop Millions) and some awesome call-outs and music. I thought the skill shot would get a bit annoying but it after a while it serves as a nice breather before another crazy ball.

My absolute favorite thing about the game is the overhead floodlights and how they work with the game - freaking amazing (especially in the dark). I have NO CLUE why we haven't seen that in a recent game. It makes the modes and special/extra ball moments that much more of an event.

Anyway, lets just say I'm a happy camper and I'm blown away that they didn't make any more than 1,700 units.

Check out the pics:

Congrats, I would love to land one of these someday,

So Pinball Arcade announced that this table would be recreated for their game in June.

Anyone else excited?

Yup

#25 9 years ago

So playing it last night I realized that if you barely press the left button down it only activates the bottom left flipper and not the upper left flipper. Didn't know if this was a norm on 3+ flipper games or was specific to the game/brand/era?

#26 9 years ago

That is normal for any three flipper game that uses leaf switches for the buttons. It is often called staging the flippers. Useful during multiball when you have a ball trapped on the lower flipper. To see a good example of this watch the PAPA video for Grand Lizard.
