I believe mine has a short that's causing problems. If a 29724 can't be found can I use a 29723?

I unplugged the connector that comes from the transformer and when I test continuity on the transformer side from the black/white wires to the blue/white wires I get continuity. I don't think there should be continuity here but I'm not positive. I'm blowing F9. Also when I plug the connector back in and test at the fuse holder from the left sides of F9 and F8 I get continuity (black/gray/white wires and blue/white wires).

Sorry this thread is turning into a tech thread. I appreciate your help ForceFlow!

Unfortunately I don't have a manual for SFII.

I'm no longer blowing F9. I did just replace the driver board with a new one. Maybe that fixed my fuse problem.

Now I'm getting a "Switch Short Return 1" error. When I go to switch test all of the optos that are controlled by the upper (closest to the coin door with the playfield down) opto controller board are showing they are closed along with the outhole, trough, right coin slot #2 and a few other switches. When I disconnect that opto board I get no errors.

Quoted from ForceFlow:

Pbresource.com has them available.

I'm not familiar with that error. However, from what you tried, it sounds like there is a problem with that opto board. Are there any other identical boards that you can swap around for testing?

That opto board is new.
