Data East, 1993im picking up a jp and the dmd is out. is this as simple as replacing the dmd or could there be other issues? also is there color dmd available or just standard? also best place to aquire one and the going rate. thanks for any and all help.

Take a look in this thread for the LCD extender. A cheap color replacement for the dmd. I think a new dmd runs about 200.
1. since you seem to have multiple DMD games, just borrow one from another machine to make sure the one in JP is actually bad. if it is not, then it will most likely be in the high voltage section of the machine
2. there is not "colordmd" version available
3. best place is relative to your own opinions. i order from pinball life because they have great prices and are local to me.
4. going rate is probably in the $150-$175 range right now

There is an LCD option using the DMD Extender. I highly recommend it. I'll never go back to a regular DMD in JP.
