Cyclopes, Iron Maiden and Mystery Castle should be possible. The others your friend will have to pry them out of some collector's hands...

Machine - Units produced (from the pinball price guide)
Cyclopes - 400
Iron Maiden - 1200
King Kong - 9
Kingpin - 9
Mystery Castle - 500

Free bump & GL.

#4 10 years ago

Yeah, the ONLY way I would ever sell my only classic Stern is if I found an Iron Maiden to replace it. More free bumps and GL wished on the others.

#5 10 years ago

Iron Maiden may not be quite as locked up of a deal as a I thought. Still open to all options. Thanks

#6 10 years ago

If I hear any of those possibly being for sale I'll let you know. Good luck on the search buddy.

#7 10 years ago

Thanks Dude.
Apparently California has FIVE Kingpins.... Didn't know we hoarded all the cool stuff here

Mystery Castle - 500

This is a common misconception that started with the ipdb. There were only a little over 200 units made. They are still out there, though. Good luck, train!

Bumpety Bump for these rare gems

#10 10 years ago

I know someone with a Cyclops I will ask what his price is? Is this for one of Don's itches?-LOL

#11 10 years ago

Lol no, it's for another buddy on other side of the U.S. But thanks a bunch for checking into that for me Pinmister

#12 10 years ago

There is a Cyclopes in Madison. Only one I have ever seen. I think it is a proto also?

Very cool game.

#13 10 years ago

Nice job! The one-eyed monster isn't easy to find and is often even harder to find someone who will let it leave!

Justin,

Congrats on the purchases! Please send me the serial number from MC so I can add it to my log book. Thanks!

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

Does anyone have an idea what Cyclopes usually sells for? Not that "usually" is something there may be a baseline for, since I'm guessing it doesn't come up for sale often. Great game, IMO, and I'd like to shell out the bucks for one some day, depending.

Me & the seller agreed to keep everything pretty private but if anyone else wants to jump in and throw out pricing from their experiences feel free.

Thanks for the all help pinside! You guys rock!

Not to hijack, but I've got a whole Mystery Castle playfield with most things on it in my warehouse.

Came out of a machine an operator dismantled years ago. Pretty good nick from memory.

Seeing this thread reminded me of it. Not a game I've ever played ...

If anyone needs one, send me a pm and I'll dig it out.

Good luck with your search FT!

Awesome video FT, thanks for posting!

1000 games! Crazy!

I went to a private collectors place in Germany last year ... he had 300 machines all set up in a huge barn, all mint and 100%. That was pretty mind blowing too ... made my collection look like crap LOL

One of them is in France, one at the PHoF, one may be owned by George Riley in Ballston Spa and not sure what happened to the fourth one I found a few years back (might be one and the same with GR.)

p.s. You've already got some credit on the books

#39 10 years ago

George sold his...

Blownfuse, Steve has a goin nuts.. not sure if he would part with it though...

There were only 10 made from what i understand...

#40 10 years ago

Yeah, that would be me. It isn't available for sale guys. My buddy M.M. bought the one from George but he isn't selling either, he also resides here in the SFBA. The one in France is owned by my System 80 collector counterpart J-R.K. Tim at the PHoF (as stated), also has one. I don't know where the other Goin' Nut's pinballs are or if they still exist. I don't know the guy that posted pics to the Pinball database or his relation to the pics he posted there.

Actually, there are 6 of the 9 extant Kingpins in California! Yeah, it's an embarrassment of riches in Cali!

I'll send you a PM regarding your search for an IM. Good luck with your search for the rest of these gems...

There was a Cyclopes sold in KS about 6 months ago for $750 if anyone is curious. Generally a sub 1k game (if you can find one - I am looking - ha).
