Save your money and just hot glue this to the bottom of your game and wire it to 12V. You can also wire it to a flasher if you want it to be controlled.
Can these be hooked up directly to 12V in the game without buying a transformer etc? Even the Q and A at Amazon does not seem clear on this.
i will be making kits very soon, remote control and everything, plug for the 12 volts, kit will come with a free 12V/5V splitter harness so if you have another mod (or in the future) you'll be ok.
the price will be almost 50% cheaper.
I've been looking to get a red one of these for my TOM - $25:

that's a lot of money for not even 2 feets of leds.
easy to find for $5/$8
and red is the hardest color to see/pop, you need a lot of leds at least about 8 feets, 4 feets on each side, minimum.

My biggest problem is that I'm a newbie and every time I try to wire something up, I screw something else up. So I am looking for something that is plug-and-play. Those Amazon LEDs look like a good option, but I wouldn't know how/where to wire them.
How easy will your kits be for plugging-and-playing to a B/W like my TOM?
Thanks!
P.S. I agree with you on needing more that 2 feet of red LEDs.
you have a nice collection for a newbie.
if you get/find a kit all you need to do is find the 12 v plug in your cabinet (normally on the right side of the coin box/where the ac plug is).

Bally/Williams do but have the side connector.

yeah it's there in that area.

Thats why I used to like the red cathode ones from Pinballife. They really showed up well for two tubes about 14" long each. But he does not have them anymore. I need more red ones. Thanks for the info on the strips though. With being able to wire them in directly it would be pretty cheap to just put 3 strips of 4ft ones on the bottom.
