I recently fabricated one for my Spy Hunter.

I just used a 6" worm-gear duct/hose clamp. The entire clamp is not segmented or "threaded" leaving plenty of chrome-plated blank metal from which to cut material.

The wire is salvaged from overhead triplex wiring - like used for house electrical service. Inside the shiny, bare, aluminum conductor is a steel messenger wire. Don't use your nice cutters to clip this wire - it will damage the cutter.
