My Gold Ball machine is missing the left ball gate by the left flipper. ASE-2250-91. I checked with Pinresource and no joy. I understand this was used in Gold Ball, Fathom and I think Aspire. Since it is so visible at the lower level of the playfield I want to avoid having to fab one because I'm not sure I can get it looking good. Even if you just have the bracket will help. I can easily make the wire.

I just need this wire. Where do you find the wire to fab these gates from?

Just find some nice stiff wire and bend a gate into shape.

I recently fabricated one for my Spy Hunter.

I just used a 6" worm-gear duct/hose clamp. The entire clamp is not segmented or "threaded" leaving plenty of chrome-plated blank metal from which to cut material.

The wire is salvaged from overhead triplex wiring - like used for house electrical service. Inside the shiny, bare, aluminum conductor is a steel messenger wire. Don't use your nice cutters to clip this wire - it will damage the cutter.

Most hobby shops will sell piano wire that works well for gates.

Yes. The correct steel wire is called ".062" music wire". $1.69 for 36" at my local hobby shop.
