Quoted from Cheeks:

I was a pre-order on WOOLY, but I can't disagree here. $8K is a ton of money, more than any of the other major makers (unless you include JJP's inflated SE model). Combine the fact that there is no nostalgia connected to a recognized theme, and the dreaded pre-order and I think you see why this didn't sell. No matter how fanatical a small group of people are, the market speaks on what price they are willing to pay. I'm SURE this would have sold out at $7K. It might have sold at $8K with a "cash and carry" model like Stern. As people say in for sale threads all the time, the market determines the price and the market seems to have said $8K was too much. Unfortunately if the price HAS to be $8K, I get it and don't fault Scott for asking it, but the reality is that producing the game just might not be in the cards with the same parameters. We'll see what Scott has planned.

I think the pre-order is the problem for me. After the wait of 3 years for woz. I am done with the pre-order. If I could buy this game and have it in a reasonable time I would be in. It really does looks like a great game.

I would buy one for sure. But I pre ordered WOZ and after long delays got lucky. I will only buy games ready to ship now. If I lose out, I am willing to pay a premium in the future instead of taking the risk up front.

Nothing against WOOLY.
This is my feelings on all companies besides Stern.

I would buy this game if it went into production
