WPT: flippers weak due to split connection?

Hi Guys,

My WPT flippers are fealing a bit weak. The previous owner has split the connection into two more flipperbuttons, so the upper playfield flippers can have their own buttons. He said that could be the reason why these flippers are weak.

So before I go and do the usual stuff when faced with weak flippers my question for you guys is: Is it possible for flippers to get weak because the connection is split and divided into two more flippers? And if so, what should I do about it?

All help and tips appreciated!

Undo the mod and put it back the way it is supposed to be --- then you'll most certainly be able to tell if the mod is the problem or something else.

I always find the end of stroke switches need to be filed or replaced. Sometimes this helps flipper power.
