World Cup Soccer
Bally, 1994I have a World Cup Soccer with a powerdrive board that has the RLY1 component on it to handle non fliptronics games. I want to swap it for a restored Fish Tales board (revision 3) that doesn't have the RLY1.
Can I do that safely? I think both games are fliptronics 2-games so the relay isn't needed, correct? Why does mine WCS have the relay anyway, isn't the game "newer"? Maybe someone swapped it in the past. I guess the cpu is programmed to not use the relay anyway.
i have an i500 which had the same RLY thing going on (likely operator swap) - you should be fine with the swap from what i gather.

Fliptronic 1 games have to have the relay there in the board.
Fliptronic 2 games will work with or without the relay board.
