I have BOP and when you first turn on the game, the sound isn't there. You can hear the speakers crackle a little when you first turn it on (as it should), but no "bong". The game will play normal.
Now if I turn it off and then turn it back on the sound works. I can walk away from the game and if I go back after 10 minutes...same problem.

I replaced all the typical caps on the sound board except for the tantalum capacitors and this did help the sound quality, but still same issue. Anyone seen this problem.

    Many thanks!

Thanks CnyPinGuy! That's not exactly what it's doing and when I go into diagnostics....I get no sound and even when I get out. But not saying it couldn't be the RAM.

I did check all my voltages going to the board and they all seem correct.

I would replace the sound board RAM.
