ok I replaced the "Shoot again" light with a led. After turning the machine on i get the wonderful "Check Fuse 114 115" error message.
I shut the machine down and remove the led to see that the led was broken in its housing and shorting out.

So i have followed the Pinwiki site and made it this far...

TP3 has no voltage, LED1 is out after post, LED6 is "outish" has a light glow.
Fuses are ok
D2 tests fine, D1 has no voltage.

any recommendations for the next step?
Thanks in advance
R

Since you dont have power at the TP, let's see...pull F114 and 115, and buzz them with your meter...
That would be a good start!

Thanks Chris, fuses test fine, even replaced and have the same issue.

OK...good...always eliminate the obvious first.
Do you have about 20 volts at TP8?
If so, your flasher voltage is good, and something is honked up in the 12V regulation circuit.

If you don't have 20V (or so) at TP8, then the usual suspects are F114 or BR1 or less likely, incoming AC across J101-4/7.

Check those possibilities out, and get back to us.

Definitely check BR1.
A tech buddy was helping me this past weekend work on my Sorcerer and I mentioned a F114/f115 issue that sporadically popped up every now and then during gameplay on my Flintstones.

He found that the BRidge rectifiers didn't have solid solder connections. The matrix lamps went off while in attract mode and he simply pushed on the heat sink covering the two BRs and there was a tiny electrical pop and the lamps came back on.
He recommended that I pull the board and reflow the solder on the 4 legs of all the BRs in my Flintstones board.

Yeah looks like tp8 is getting next to nothing. Guessing BR1 is about to be replaced. Thanks for the help guys!

You had the bridge out, but let me share the following.

I've experienced flacky voltage and "check fuse" error message due corrosion in the transformer molex connectors. I disconnected and reconnected them a few times and it helped.
