First off im not the most technical person so please forgive any errors. Im quite confused with WPC flippers Demo man in General. Im reading the EOS switches should be closed (touching/making contact) normally and when the flipper is engaged the flipper will open the EOS 1/8 inch. My right EOS is barely open (credit card length) and my right and upper right EOS are firmly making contact until the flipper is engaged. I keep getting an error message that R and U R flipper EOS switches are closed when I startup the machine. Ive read a few articles and done a few searches with different results. Some help please? thanks in advance.

They should be normally closed on non-fliptronic games. My DM has a specific note stapled under the playfield clarifying that they should be normally open, and close when the flipper completes its stroke.

Mine has the same sticker. Thats saying they should be always open ?

Yes. They should only close when the flipper is all the way up

On Williams Fliptronics games, yes the EOS should be open when the flipper is down.

And they close when flipper is engaged. Got ya Thanks!! So The longer side of the EOS switch goes closest to the coil.

Yes. So when the flipper goes up it closes the EOS switch/blades.

So On the right flipper which seems to be working fine the EOS is barely open. When the flipper is engaged it opens more...so it is always open. This is incorrect?

Yes. Fliptronics allows for it, but it works better when it's working right.
