WPC DMD Controller Swapability

I am trying to locate a problem with a non working display in a T2. Swapped DMDs with the problem remaining and I'd like to try a different DMD controller to see if that is the root cause. I have a DMD controller from a later game (World Cup Soccer 94).

T2: part number 5760-12710-00 Rev 6
WCS: part number 5760-12710-12

Am I safe to assume that they are interchangeable even though they are slightly different? Visually looking at it, U12 is left blank but I don't see really any other differences. Maybe some resistors have different values, not sure.

Thanks, ended up working fine. Looks like problem is from Power Driver Board. LED is out on DMD controller so I am assuming the +5 is not coming in from the power driver.

Yes, that's a good assumption.
You can test the +5V power...need to find schematics.
